Fantastic
5I had a match done in Tavistock, the assistant was very helpful. Cool beige was my shade.It was nice and easy to apply (I use a brush). match was perfect, it gave my skin a dewy look, my skin is normally quite dry, but this looked lovely. I also use lift and luminate serum and air brush primer. my wrinkles are now hardly visible. well done boots you have done it again, and at a reasonable price. Flibberty

Was not impressed
3I bought this a few months ago and I had the colour match done and was matched to Warm Ivory. I was recommended this particular foundation as I am in my fifties and this is aimed at this age range. I was really pleased and couldn't wait to try it. From the begining I did not like this foundation mainly because I am not a fan of the glow/shine it gives on the skin, not every mature person want a shiney face. Though if you like a glow/shine then this will be for you. I once compared it to another more expensive foundation by applying this foundation to half my face and applied some of a sample of the other foundation on the other size and to be honest there wasn't any difference. Boots No7 £16.50 the other one £31.50 for the same finish. Even though I was colour matched I never felt the colour was right for me because my skin always seemed to look grey. It was only when I bought another foundation and got my colour checked again I found I was Warm Beige and this colour was much better. Will not buy this again but only because there are other foundations in the No7 range I like better.

An amazing product.
5Spent years and an absolute fortune on trying to find the perfect foundation for me. As a last resort decided to try No.7 and their new tester. Amazing. Beige, No.7 Lift & Luminate Foundation and it is absolutely brilliant. I love it so much I bought 3 more when they were on offer. Thank you Boots.

Extremely disappointed
1I brought this and must say that this is the first time I have been disappointed with a product from this range. It gives no coverage to my skin at all even when I use it with a primer. Will not purchase again.

SOFT SKIN,POOR COLOUR CHOICE
1I have been using NO7 foundation for years and have until recently been happy with it. Unfortunately my colour-blonde-has been withdrawn and my colour match may well be true to my colour,,but makes me look pale and washed out. That's why I wear make up! What's the point of spending time and money to look exactly the same as you did before!!PLEASE PLEASE bring back my old colour

Poor colour match for me...
2I used to be alabaster in this foundation. Since the colour was discontinued, I was colour matched in store to cool vanilla. When I tried it at home the following morning it was the wrong shade and tone and too dark for me. I have since bought cool ivory (on my own) which isn't a lot different. I have wasted money and now will have to find another brand to match my fair skin. So disappointed No 7 - that you've changed your shades and by reading other reviews, cannot match fairer skin tones.

Perfect Match!
4Ive made so many mistakes with foundation colours over the years, Im sure most brands dont make one for me! I thought the Match service was a bit of a gimmick but no, it works. I was matched to Cool Vanilla and it went on seamlessly and completely matches my face and my neck. The foundation is medium coverage and I use concealer too where I need it on broken veins and the odd spot. It has a slight radience to it without looking greasy. It doesnt sit in my fine lines (Im 46 with skin tending to dry and slightly oiler on the T Zone). I really do think my skin looks good in this in all lights. The assistant applied this one and the Matte foundation and I chose this one. However I didnt know about the Stay Perfect being in my colour and I think that may suit me better in terms of staying power. Overall I'm very happy and I think its reasonably priced for the skin care properties it has.

Good Product but .........
4Although I love this product, I had to change my brand when trying to replace it. The colour I use has been discontiued and the colour suggested by your beauty advisor was not in stock. When trying to replace my Cheek Tint recently I discoverd that the colour range had been reduced and the colour I use had been discontinued.Again I had to change brands.Not a good shopping experience or incentive to buy further No 7 poducts.

We don't all tan - bring back Alabaster!
2Still goes on beautifully. Unfortunately my very pale skin is too pale for Calico which seems to be the palest in quite a limited range. The formula has also been tweaked, it smells different and my face has reacted with red blotches. Sooo disappointed. It took me years to find the right foundation. Now I have to start all over again. I'll never understand the need to tweak a winning formula - just provide what you've got in more shades!

Perfect match
5I was slightly sceptical before i used the colour match service however it's absolutely AMAZING (however after using the machine the assistant could do little more than point to foundations in the matched colour). I matched to cool ivory, but most of the foundations were sold out of this colour. I went for the Lift and Luminate over another one which was slightly runnier, and have found it to be FANTASTIC. Gives excellent coverage - smooth and even. I use a foundation brush as I find it gives an even better finish. Will definitely be buying more, although its lasting a lot longer than I thought it would!!
