5I confess I am a foundation 'snob'! I don't like the thoughts of drugstore foundations so I tried the colour match service purely out of curiosity. I was really, really very impressed with the whole process. The gadget matched me to the shade "Warm Ivory". Having chatted about what I wanted from a foundation the lovely consultant recommended Stay Perfect. She cleansed two areas of my face and tried a little on my skin but thought it looked a little 'yellow'. Its always tricky to tell under store lighting and without a full face of product so she generously gave me samples of two other colours "cool vanilla" and "cool ivory" as well which were quite close in shade. I like to 'try before you buy' especially with foundations to check the colour doesn't oxidise and that the texture works with my skin. I went home without great expectation but .........Wow! I went to work next day and a colleague commented how well I looked and another said what great skin I had! Warm Ivory was the best match after all and is possibly the best shade in a foundation I have ever worn! From first application it was literally 'perfect'. I have a pale, freckled complexion and foundation matching is a nightmare with the pigmentation of the freckles. I have an oily T-Zone with 'normal/dry' cheeks and fit into the 'mature' category! I don't want a mask- like finish but like good coverage and longevity. Stay perfect ticks all the boxes. The texture is creamy and weightless. I would say it's a medium coverage but buildable to full. I tried application with both a Real Techniques buffing brush and my fingers but prefer the finish when applied with fingers. You really don't feel you are wearing make-up and it gives a satin finish. It covers imperfections without looking like a mask - it literally looks like my skin but a thousand times better. Stay Perfect is 'transfer resistant' and the only other foundation I can compare it to is Estee Lauder Double Wear, but unlike Double Wear, Stay Perfect looks lovely on a mature skin, it really gives it a 'glow'. The colour didn't oxidize and lasts a good 9 hours. Yes some the oils in my T-Zone come through by the end of the day - but nothing a little powder won't fix. I am a convert to No.7! The colour match service is better than many of the high end brands and the range and shades of foundation are fantastic - not to mention the knowledge and service offered by the lovely No.7 consultant. With my voucher I paid £11! an absolute bargain for such a good product. Amazing!

Matches my skin tone well
5I used this product for a long time and when it ran out tried to find an alternative that was a bit cheaper. Being someone with pale skin this was quite difficult to find, and after a few months and a lot of bottles of foundation i've come back to this one in shade calico as it doesn't make me look orange and blends in perfectly.

This foundation is perfect!
5I suffer from oily/combination skin and have spent hundreds of pounds in search of the perfect foundation. I use the no7 day cream before I apply the foundation and I have found that it is the only foundation that doesn't emphasise my flakey skin! It does not make my face look orange at all, I can use a lot of the foundation without it looking like I have caked myself in make up! Basically I cannot praise this product enough. I think it should be a necessary part of every woman's make up bag and I will be using it for the rest of my life. Also it is very inexpensive and very high quality which is absolutely wonderful! I love this foundation. And if I could marry it, I would.

Really annoyed
1I've been using stay perfect in 'cool vanilla' since they started the colour match thing. It's always been fine and I've really liked it. However I bought a new bottle recently and it's totally orange! It says cool vanilla on the bottle so I've not picked up the wrong one by mistake. Now I've wasted £14 on something I can't use.

Oxidised after 15 mins of wear!!!
2I was colour matched in store for Cool Vanilla. When I got home and used the foundation, it was the perfect colour match upon application but turned a darker colour on my face after only 15 minutes wear. By the end of the day I looked almost orange round the jawline! The formulation of this foundation has a lovely light feel and covers imperfections but I just cannot risk walking around not knowing how dark my face is going to turn by the end of the day. I wont be using it again, feel really annoyed that I now can't return it as I have opened it and used it - once! Boots, is there any way of returning it for refund or exchange for a lighter colour as I feel the formulation of this foundation is faulty?

The perfect foundation for me.
5I've been buying this foundation for well over a year now and i will continue to buy it. The thing that first attracted me to this product was the fact no7 did the match service, which for me was a god send because i find it hard to find a good colour match! Good points and why you should use this foundation: - Lasts all day - good coverage but feels so light! - doesn't make my skin oily - one foundation bottle can last me up to 5 months, and i virtually use it every single day Perfect perfect perfect!

not as good as its cracked up to be
1I have quite pale/pinky skin and I find it hard to find a foundation that doesnt either leave me looking oily, or leave me looking orange. So I thought id try this out because supposedly they are supposed to match it up to your skin (using the match machine). I got my skin colour tested whislt wearing no makeup, which is what ur supposed to do, and the colour she recommended me was a lot darker and more orangey than I expected. The bottle is handy as its a squirty one, and it does look very appealing, but dont be fooled. The colour really didnt do me any justice and I was very dissapointed.

Disappointing buy!!
1First time I've wrote a review, but I was so disappointed in this product I felt I had to! I'm mixed race and was skin matched to deep honey. I don't have flawless skin so coverage is important to me. I was told this foundation is good coverage and it's buildable.....ha fat chance of that!! It's as if I'm putting on CLEAR foundation. No matter how much u put on it just doesn't cover anything. My usual foundation is ester Lauder double wear but they no longer stock my shade so was looking for an alternative. Complete waste of money this was!!! The only thing that was true is after an hour or so it does seem to go darker but not even that made much difference.

does not stay put
1I really didn't like this foundation I found it had a slight tint off grey to the shade and when I applied it made my face look a really weird colour. Also this does not last 24 hours I was lucky if it lasted two hours even when I mixed It with smashbox or bobbi brown it just melted of my face really quick. This foundation does not give any coverage I would say it's more like a bb cream.
