At last the right colour foundation, thx boots.
5I'm 43 years old and this is the first time I have found an exact match formy skin colour. The foundation is brill. I'm a postie and wanted a light coverage foundation that just helped hide any blemishes, and some sun protection. Stayed in place . Just the job. The lady in boots in Long Eaton,NG10 was very helpful with the colour match and choosing the right foundation for my skin.

good foundation- gives a soft focus finish
4I like this foundation, If you apply with a brush goes on more flawless and gives a soft focus finish.I got this through the colour match service and it does match my skintone perfectly, sometimes I just apply it to the areas that need it most, it does a good job of covering my redness.I took away one star as i don't think it lasts full 16hours as promised, you still have some coverage but I would say you need to reapply every 4-6 hours for top coverage, this is even using a setting powder,but to be honest most foundations are like this.I would stay this foundation is almost as good as dior forever,but at more than half the price, was on offer when I got.

Didn't work for me.
1I was excited to try this foundation out as it said it had some moisturising properties as I have normal/dry skin, however, I found this foundation flaked on my skin, showed minor dry patches I had and oxidised to an orangey colour even though I had bought the lightest shade. I tried different methods of application, etc,must I just didn't get on with it, which is a shame due to the price! I will say that this foundation didn't settle in to my pores which is very rare, but that's about my only pro of this product.

Not good for oily skin
2Unfortunately I have very oily, acne prone skin. This foundation is fine when first applied (with fingers or a sponge, foundation brushes whether real bristles or artificial are useless with this product). Regular exfoliation and moisturisation is essential, as the foundation highlights dry skin patches like you wouldn't believe. This product offers no oil control whatsoever, and oxidises really quickly - leaving me with shiny, orange skin after just a couple of hours. Maybe a good foundation for people with normal skin.

Brilliant Match
4I usually do not wear foundation, but I wanted some for a special occasion, so I chose this No7 one. The No7 consultant matched the foundation to my skin tone, and it really is a very good match (Alabaster). Although it did make my face look quite pale once completely covered, it is very easy to apply some mineral powder and then some blusher or bronzer over the top for a more natural look. It is definitely better to have foundation matched to your exact skin tone, which you can add shading too, rather than one which is too orange! This foundation was very easy to apply and blend, and covered up any small blemishes. It provides a matte effect, which is good if you have oily skin that can look shiny, and does leave skin looking almost flawless. I would say that it provides a medium to light coverage, which is perfect for me as I do not wear foundation often, and did not want to look caked in it! The foundation stayed on for the whole evening, and I didn't have to touch it up once, which was brilliant!

Good to begin with...
2I was looking for a new foundation, as I have oily skin that is prone to breakouts I wanted something that wouldn't worsen the shine I got throughout the day but also cover some of the blemishes, the lady on the No7 counter recommended this, as it was also the only foundation No7 had that was light enough for my skin tone, and when she applied the foundation it looked lovely, I purchased the foundation as well as a foundation brush, hoping to achieve the same effect. At first the foundation suited my skin and did look good, although it did not help the shine, however after a couple of months I noticed a change in the consistency- it had gone gloopy and no longer achieved a smooth finish. In my opinion, the foundation was a little disappointing as the quality did not last.

3I bought this foundation (02 alabaster) today as my old foundation no longer matched my skin tone. I found that it was a beautiful match to my complexion and was very easy to apply. It blended well and was generally a good foundation. However after about 3 hours, my face was very shiny and felt greasy to touch, even though I use a translucent powder.

4I've found the foundation applies beautifully, especially if used with No7 BB cream. Good coverage whilst still looking natural. I found the colour really suited my skin which doesn't happen often! and i have tried alot of foundations!

Amazing Results
5I have tried many different products on the high street and have been using this liquid foundation for the last 6 months. As I have dry, acne scarred skin this foundation is light enough to smooth over the dry patches without clogging and accentuating them whilst the coverage hides any scars brilliantly. The colours are excellent and there is a great variety, particularly for someone like myself who changes shades throughout the seasons due to tan etc. Also the foundation does last all day I feel no need to reapply unless I am heading out for the night. As soon as I switched to this make up I recieved many compliments and people noticed how much better and flawless my skin appeared, many thought I had switched to a very expensive luxury brand! Overall I would defianately reccomend this foundation to anyone looking for a great coverage and very reasonably priced product. If in doubt whether or not the product is for you the No7 counter staff are extremely knowledgeable and will give great advice on the right product and shade for you.

Not so pleased !!
3Although I found the right shade for my tanned skin i am not happy with the foundation. It does not cover my red acne scars completely and my face becomes oily . Its ok for dry skin but not for oily / combination skin type . As for the name it does not stay perfect for longer hours. I have to apply powder every time my face becomes oily and dull.
