Disappointed with this replacement
1I bought this to replace the old product, which I'd used for years and was brilliant. This one was more expensive and sold to me on the basis that it did the same job. Was ok the first couple of uses, but since then it's been a watery mess. Even when you shake the tube to try and mix it, it splutters out leaving a mess. Bring back the old one. I won't be buying this again. Rubbish.

Prefer old product
1Very disappointed with this new product. Been using the older one for years. I’m a chef and a mum and need something that lasts all day. This doesn’t. Won’t be buying again.

Dreadful!
1The discontinued product was infinitely better. It is impossible to blend eye shadow after applying this product. Creates harsh, patchy amateurish results. Had to wash off and start again with remnants of old product.

Best product ever!
5This does exactly what it says on the tin - and more! It glides on smoothly with no pulling on the delicate eyelid area. Eye make up then goes on perfectly and, best of all, stays in place. I love this product. Having just had to give a very bad review for a different No. 7 product, I am happy to say that this is wonderful.

What a let down - Eyeshadow primer
1I purchased the primer 2 weeks ago and sadly it does not keep eyeshadow crease free. It's relatively drying on my eyelids, my skin started to flake (eek) and I noticed it highlighted lines - fortunately I don't have many in my mid 40s but that said the primer still emphasised them. I was expecting much more from No7 and £9.50 is expensive for 10ml. I was naive enough to believe the hype from the counter staff! I'll keep searching for something that actually works, and try to find a product with less chemicals in it too.

1Totally agree with other reviews, why oh why when a product works well, ie eye base and brightener, is it discontinued. Assured that it was just the same, if not better. Awful, thin, greasy and a waste of money and time.

Prefer previous product
2So disappointed much prefer the previous brightening primer which I have been using for years!! Please bring it back !!!! Won't be buying thus again.

Great texture
4Fab texture which feels amazing when applied. Not sure if it makes my eyeshadow last longer but it definitely makes them feel more moisturized!

Disappointing
1Poor product - thin and greasy and doesn't provide a good base for eyeshadow. Please bring back the old eye brightening and smoothing base!

Really impressed
5Previously had a problem with my eye shadow fading or smudged by the end of the day. The primer has really help it stay in place and the colour still looks vibrant. Recommend.
