Not Great
2I bought this as I was looking for an eye pencil and have previously been using liquids. When tested on my wrist, it worked out fine. However, when used on my eyelid, the ink does not come off easily. I have to press it really hard against my eye which hurts

Good for some, bad for others
3Personally i love this product, when applying my eyeliner i only use a little on the bottom of my eye, so when i used this product i found that it gave me the smudged affect i wanted and not a big thick line which most give off, i found it easy to smudge to where i wanted it and i use it everyday! i tend not to sharpen mine as the edges of the wood can be a bit jaggity but other than that for what i want its great, i wouldnt say its any good at applying thin black solid lines though

If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
1I have been using the No 7 Amazing Eyes Pencil in brown every day for the past few years. I used to love it and wouldn't consider another pencil as it glided on so smoothly. Unfortunately I have just had to return my most recent purchase as the formula has totally changed. It wouldn't glide on, it barely left a trace of colour, and felt like it was scratching my eyelid as I applied it. I tried warming it against my hand to little effect, and then sharpened it only to find the lead broke three times. I ended up with a pencil half the size and it still didn't work. I'd bought the pencil on buy-one-get-one-half-price and took both back today. The lady on the No7 stand was very helpful and gave me store credit to the full amount of both pencils. She agreed that the formula had changed for the worse and advised me to write to head office to encourage the manufacturers to take on board my feedback. Please No7, take note of the poor feedback for this new formula and bring back the old one! I've switched to another brand but would happily come back if the old formula was reintroduced.

1It's a bit silly to be gutted about the loss of an eye pencil but I am - I loved the last version, so easy to use, looked so lovely, always got compliments when I wore it..but this is just..horrible. Please bring the old one back!

What have you done?
1BOOTS WHAT HAVE YOU DONE??? I have used the No7 Amazing Eyes eyeliner pencil in black for years as its the best on the market nothing else comes close. It just glides on really smooth with no dragging whatsoever and lasts all day without having to reapply. Bought a new one the other day in what I thought was just new packaging but boy what a difference!! Not just new packaging but completely different product! Can't even get it to stay on my eyes properly it really drags and my eyes are now sore from trying to apply it!!! Took me about 15minutes just to get some decent colour on my eyelids when normally im done in a minute!!! Will DEFINATELY NOT be buying this product ever again unless its changed back to how it used to be!!! Will be looking for an alternative brand without a doubt!!

This product has changed for the worse
1I have used the old version of this for years as it was the best on the market. What has happened?. It drags your eye lid, leaves hardly any liner and the smudge buds at the end snap off. I bought 3 for 2 and 1 was broken before I used it. My daughters and friends feel the same. Why Boots have changed an item which must have been a best seller I cannot imagine. I am now looking for an alternative as I will never buy this again. I am going to check if there are any old stocks of my favourite out there before I do. I feel very let down with the guys who tested this new product

FAR FROM PERFECT!
1I bought the No7 Amazing eye pencil before and I absolutely loved it, so when I needed another one I had no hesitation about buying it, but I couldn't find the exact one and I noticed this one which had the name perfect added. So I went ahead and bought it. Big mistake! This pencil scores your eyes and it really hurts. It does not sharpen well at all,. The lead keeps breaking and the wood remains jaggy! Absolutely a waste of money! Will not be buying this pencil again, nor will I be recommending it to a friend! Bring back the original!!

Now the WORST eyeliner I've ever used (was the best!)
1If it ain't broke, don't fix it. This used to be the best eyeliner I have ever used and I swore by it..no 7 recently altered their packaging and also it seems the formulation of this eyeliner such that it is now awful! It's so friable (both the liner and the wood) that when you sharpen the pencil it simply crumbles and no fine tip can be achieved. The slightest pressure on your lid makes the whole thing break up and leave a mess on your lids. In one week of having to sharpen the pencil everytime you use it, I've finished a pencil that used to last me a month. BOOTS PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK TO THE ORIGINAL FORMULATION which was wonderful!

1As with some of the previous reviewers I would like to give this 0 stars if it were possible. This used to be my favorite eyeliner, I've been a fan for years and have recommended it to many friends. Why oh why did you feel the need to totally change it. The wonder of this eye liner was that it was so easy to apply, without that much pressure on the eye lid and I never had any trouble with its staying power - so why the need to make it into some super stay product? The trouble is that in doing so, it has now become so hard I actually struggled to get any eyeliner on my eye without pulling my eyelid in all sorts of strange uncomfortable directions. This then meant it was impossible to actually draw a sensible line, with any shape, which meant I just had to give up. I'm not just a grumpy customer that doesn't like change, I'm afraid I would have to go as far as to say that this is now the worst eye liner I have ever used!! So disappointed, I will be returning it as soon as possible. If there are any of the old ones around then I'll see if I can grab as many as possible - otherwise I'm off to find a nice soft eyeliner.

Totally UNamazing!
1I really wanted to rate this product with no stars as it is absolute rubbish but 1 star it had to be.... I got this eye pencil using a £5 voucher from No. 7 and I am so glad I didn’t pay full price for it. It is the worst eye pencil I have ever used. It is far too soft and you need to sharpen it EVERY time you use it as the end breaks off when you using it. Don’t waste your money on this; buy a No. 17 eye pencil instead – half the price and lasts twice as long!
