Good duration
4I have only tried the new formulations and only in black. The pencil goes on well, smoothly and without dragging. It is possibly to get a reasonably smooth line but not the definition that you will get with a liquid or gel. The smudging end is a good size and texture, allowing a small smudging effect without erasing any of the liner. The liner lasts the day well and even looks slightly better as it softens. It is easy to 'top-up' if you want a heavier line in the evening and it is not too hard to remove for any correction.

Perfect for me
5I bought this on spec at a Boots store before reading the reviews online. I don't know if this product has been changed within the last year or so as a result of the very poor reviews, but I can't fault it. It is just right for me - not so hard that it pulls at my eyes when I apply it, and not so soft that it smudges and spreads over my face. It also lasted all day, which is a first for any eye pencil I've used.

Best eyeliner purchase in years!
5I was disappointed at first when choosing this product bc the one I wanted was out of stock in my color (black) but from the first time I used it - I LOVE IT!! this is much better than the other, No7 Stay Precise Felt tip liner I purchased (hate that one). I will be returning to the store of purchase to get the other color (Dark Brown)!!

Disappointed with the revised product
1I agree with the other reviews. This used to be a great product and good value for money. It is now almost impossible to get it to leave any line or colour under my eyes. I can draw a thick line on my hand but it just won't work. I have used a pencil sharpener to remove the point and start a new one but this has not improved the situation.

What went wrong?
1Always used to buy this eyeliner years ago and decided to try it again. It's awful, and doesn't actually work, which seems ridiculous but is true! If you draw it (pushing quite hard) on the back of your hand, it's ok, but around your eyes, it does nothing; there is literally no colour there! Very strange - won't be buying again and will return to store.

This product let me down
1After every application, I had to sharpen the eye liner. Today, when using it newly sharpened, the end disappeared and I scratched my eyelid. Consequently, I disposed of it. I am really disappointed with this product and would not recommend it.

Ow! Not at all amazing
1Is this actually an eye pencil, or an ordinary colouring pencil?! Picked up the dark blue on a whim with a £3 off voucher. It worked OK on my hand - where you can put pressure on it. As others have said - no colour comes off unless you really scrub away at your eyelid! And the smudge end hurt too, unless it was because my eyelids were already painful. And I couldn't get it in the right place anyway. Took it back for a refund this morning. Will not buy again!

Not fit for purpose
1This eye pencil is unusable. It is so hard the pressure needed to apply would cause harm. I have used other stay perfect products and recommended them to friends but this is the worst eye pencil I have ever bought. I am very disappointed to see on this website the many and universal bad reviews .... Why is it still on the shelves???
