Good product but....

I have been using this loose powder for many years, and it really suits my skin & colouring. However, a short while ago you changed the 'tub' it come in - and I MUCH preferred the old style of tub. I find it far more difficult to access the powder - the filter seems too fine - - and when the tub is getting low, there is often quite a substantial amount of powder left in the base, which I used to be able to access by removing the filter. This is no longer possible as the filter is now fixed & cannot be removed. This is a waste of powder, and money, as I used to get several more applications from the remaining product.

decent powder

I like this powder, but I find even the lightest colour gives me an orange tone. I buy the translucent shade and I am very fair, but I think it could be lighter in colour. I used it everyday and I find that it sets my foundation well. However, since the new no7 packaging was brought in, I have noticed that you get less for the money, so I am disappointed by this value. It is now a 20g size and I am sure in the old packaging you got 22g or 25g of powder.

Great product, extremely poor packaging

1

Agree with other comments that Boots have ruined this product by changing the packaging. Almost impossible to get any powder out when new - and once you get down to the last quarter, again becomes difficult to get powder out.

Excellent as always

The powder itself if just as good as it was 30 years ago when I started using it. However, the packaging had deteriorated over the years and now it is almost impossible to use efficiently. I also object to the box being made smaller and the contents less but the price being increased! Excluding this, I will continue to use this product as it is very good and will still recommend it.

Good product, but difficult to get out.

I bought this powder in Translucent, and the powder itself is very good in that it's very fine, doesn't fly all over the place, and doesn't leave powdery residue on my face (eg above top lip). However, it doesn't seem to last all day, and the perforations in the protective seal are too small. It takes several shakes to get the required amount of powder onto the puff.

Disappointing Packaging

2

I have been using this product for may years and have always loved it. The product is still fantastic but unfortunately, the latest packaging is awful. The new container is now 20g instead of 24g and I'm sure the price hasn't gone down. There is no longer a lid that separates the holes in the powder compartment from the applicator and it is really hard to get the powder out. I actually went as far as transferring the contents into my old container as the new one is so bad. I implore you Boots - please change the packaging back to the better original version. I am seriously having a re-think as to whether I want to continue buying this if the new packaging isn't improved upon.

Good coverage, slightly orange

3

Overall I feel this is a good product, easy to use and apply. It gives good coverage and blends over skin easily, yet on pale skin like myself even with the lightest shade it still appears orangey. Other disadvantages include sometimes too much powder comes out, and if you apply to much it can look powdery.

Lovely powder, will buy again

I can see what people mean about having trouble getting the powder out and I hope Boots will amend the packaging at some point. But the important thing is the powder itself which is lovely. I bought it in the medium colour (I have light olive skin) as I think translucent powder often makes me look a bit pasty. It's lovely to put on with a brush and gives a really nice even finish. Very happy with it. Also you can take the top off to get more powder out (someone said it's sealed but it isn't).

The new packaging has ruined this

1

The new container this is in is now half the previous size. This means that for the first 2 weeks or so the powder is packed is so tight it won't shake through on to the powder puff. You used to be able to open the old version but this one is sealed tight. If you are rushing to ger ready for work this powder really slows you down as you can't get your foundation dried off quickly to put blusher etc on. Shame as the quality of the powder itself is first class.

Great product, not great packaging

3

I have used No7 loose powder for years with no problems and it has always looked great and lasted well. The packaging change has been terrible though as the powder will just not come out onto the puff like it used to. Even when sitting shaking it violently for a long time. This has been so annoying that I have started looking for a different brand and will not bother about any powder left in the container when I find a new one to use.
