White patches
3Nice colour and texture but left little white patches on my face. My fingertips were also white and powdery following application

What's going on?
1Have used lift and luminate for a long time and to be honest I get sick of manufacturers fixing what was never broken in the first place!! I recently went to re order my usual blue top and found I had no choice but to order the new and 'improved' formula. I really would like to know who decided this change and why, were there lots of complaints? I totally agree with previous reviews, the dewy look has gone and I now have a slightly orange look. NOT HAPPY as I bought 2 when they were on offer and as I live abroad and friends bring it over for me, not worth sending back. Maybe we should start a petition to bring back the old formula, what do you think girls?

Where's the "luminate"?
1Lift & Luminate used to give my skin a beautiful dewy (and youthful) glow but this new version looks flat/matt/dull almost as if I've caked my face in powder and if anything, seems to accentuate any lines and wrinkles. And alas, it's not just me that sees it... in the two weeks since I've been using the new formula, I've had at least friends (kindly) asking if I'm feeling unwell or tired! As others have pointed out, it's interesting that most of the positive reviews seem to come from people who are using Lift & Luminate for the first time and of course, I am sure there are some people for whom this product will do very well... but alas for those of us who knew and loved the previous version, well quite frankly this is a very poor substitute. Very, very disappointed... and now looking for a new brand to return my "youthful glow"!

No, bring back the old one
1Brought this 2 weeks ago, what have you done!! The glass bottle equals tooo much wastage the other pump bottle you knew that you used ever last bit. So so disappointed :(

Nice coverage
3I have just started using this and at first absolutely loved it, great coverage looked and felt great on my skin lasted all day pretty much perfect!!! Then I start to notice after a few days of wearing this my skin started to break out especially on my chin area I have never had this problem with foundation before and I don’t understand why this foundation is doing this. I liked it so much I even brought a couple of bottles so I always had a spare and now I’m feeling like I have wasted my money as I now won’t be wearing this most of the time and going back to my original one. Very disappointed

Love it!
5This product is light as well as good coverage, it doesnt sit in lines or creases and blends effortlessly. This is an upgrade to the old lift & luminate foundation and has the lastest anti aging technology in it so i doing 2 jobs at once, what more can i ask for!

Too heavy
1I have used No 7 Protect and Perfect for a long time and was horrified when I was told it had been replaced by this new foundation. I agreed to try it but after only 2 application I found it heavy and difficult to spread evenly. I returned it. Boots may I suggest you bring back Protect and Perfect

If it isn't broken, don't fix it!
2Definitely not as good as the original product with blue lid. Such a shame the formula has been messed with, why change things that already work? It now lacks the luminance that forms part of its name. After using this for years, it's time to look for a new product. Very disappointing Boots.

Best foundation ever
5I was sent this to review, but usually favour BB cream over foundation as I find it too heavy or tricky to blend and it makes my skin break out. This is different! My skin has never looked better. The coverage is great but it doesn't provide a heavy mask. It's simply amazing. I will definitely continue to purchase.

Where’s the luminate gone?
2I’ve been using Lift and Luminate for some time and loved the light glowy look that it gave the skin. I tried the new improved version and it gives good coverage without sinking into fine lines, and no breakout problems so far. But where’s the luminate bit gone? Its really quite dull on the skin and that a disappointment. Bring back the glow and you have a decent product for the more mature skin.
