A Terrible Change
1I couldn't agree more with the other negative reviews! I have been using the old version in the second lightest shade for at least 8 years as a brilliant and affordable version of a quite expensive designer product. I am SO sad that in the new version No.7 have darkened even the very lightest shade to darker than my skin tone and removed any light reflecting ingredients completely. After buying my first new pen in the lightest shade (post change) I ended up with accentuated dark beige circles under my eyes and over any blemish which really stand out on my fair/average skin tone - the old version was perfect as a concealer under the eyes or on top of any imperfection. They have turned this product into a completely average thick concealer paste from what used to be a light reflecting miracle and was in a price bracket ordinary people could afford. I am very sad at the prospect of having to pay more than double for the designer product now as I certainly won't be purchasing this (which used to be a staple and favourite) ever again. I have recommended this product to so many people over the years and always to rave reviews. It's very disappointing that we will all now have to look for alternatives Bring back the old 002 version please - with the original light reflecting recipe! Why change something which was so brilliant? Or at the very least, offer it in addition to the new massive range of colours which don't actually conceal dark circles - you have the technology/recipe and we want it!

poor application
2i havent found the same problem with previous commenters that the item colour doesnt match and as i didnt use the previous version cant comment on its predecessor. i have found, as has been mentiond before that the concealr almost seems to lift as your trying to blend it in. i've used a sponge and fingers - both with the same problem, when blending under they eye it seems to lift off my skin, taking away with it any foindation that was there.

No. 7 should bring back their old concealer
1I used the old No.7 under eye concealer for years and was very impressed with how good it was at covering dark under eye circles and always had a spare in case I ran out! I took my old concealer into store to find a similar colour in the new version but even the lightest shade was significantly darker. I bought this to test but it made my under eyes even darker, the opposite effect! I don't understand why an under eye concealer which is meant to highlight would be made in such dark shades. It also seems that if you are not willing to use a No7 foundations, then you cannot have a highlighter to suit. Aside from this, a highlighter should lighten and this only makes dark circles darker. It's a shame No. 7 have decided to change this product to suit their match perfect foundation as the product no longer does what it claims.

Disappointing!!!
1I have to say I completely agree with the below review. Why have No.7 replaced their previous fantastic product with this?? It's completely different and instead of providing a lovely radiant under eye appearance this new concealer makes under eyes appear puffy and darker. Under eye concealer needs to be lighter than your natural skin tone in order to make the area appear brighter and cleverly disguise puffiness, unfortunately this product does the complete opposite because they have tried to match it to skin colour. PLEASE consider bringing the previous product back as I now have to start the hunt for a replacement and based on what I've experienced I won't be replacing it with this :0(

Previous radiance concealer sadly missed - please bring it back.
1I did use the previous concealer for many years (shade two). I loved it so much I always had a reserve to ensure I never ran out. It was great as it did the job re light coverage with an added brightness. It never looked like it was foundation make up around the eyes. I was recommended to try the lightest shade of the new product but it looked like foundation once on. I don't wear foundation at all. Thus sadly for me the new formulation does not match the previous product remit.

Why fix something that isn't broken?!
2I used to use the old No.7 Under Eye Concealer before it was re-branded and changed. All the shades are different to match in with the Match Made Foundation. I chose the lightest shade, which is what I was before they re-branded, and was awful. It was very dark and make dark circles look even worse! I am annoyed I wasted my money on the product and am very disapointed as I was a big fan of the old product. Ok for darker toned skins but avoid if fair.

Banishes grey circles
4I've very pale skin and my dark circles really show up and I've even resorted to cakey spot concealer to hide them before. I bought this a week ago and the difference after application is a serious improvement. I look about 5 years younger without the bags under my eyes. I put this on after my foundation - I mix No7 cc cream with P&P intense day cream - and it goes on very easily and blends very well over the top of them. I do have to smudge it around with my fingers which is slightly messy, but the effect is very good value for money.

SO ORANGE AND NOT AS GOOD COVERAGE AS THE PREVIOUS VERSION
1I have been using Instant Radiance concealer for many years and have recommended it time and time again to everyone I can. It has, or should I say had, a seamless and flawless appearance, doesn't give you blemishes or spots and removes the need for any foundation. In short I have sworn by it. I was totally shocked to find that the product that has been a staple in my make up bag for more than a decade has had a 're-vamp' and for the worst too. Having a pale complexion makes buying concealer really difficult as pretty much everything comes out too orange against my skin tone. You can now add Instant Radiance to the swathes of other products that believe that women come in 50 shades of orange! Do not buy this product and if you do and are equally horrified when you have that awkward moment in the lifts at work when you realise you look like you may be unwell or rubbed your eyes with fake tan hands then please join with me in asking that the original shades be added to the colour spectrum of the new concealer!

MASSIVE FAIL No7
1I bought this by mistake in store today, not realising they had replaced the other (AMAZING) 'instant radiance concealer' with this 'instant radiance under eye concealer'. I have used the previous one in shade I for many years, it was perfect. It was a very light pinky shade which really helped brighten under the eye and counteract darkness, but didn't leave you with a 'reverse panda' look because the consistency was so gorgeously light. Here are my issues with the new one: 1. The lightest shade #10# is a lot darker and more beige than the old 'I' shade. It does cover to some extent, but it left the lower ring of the under eye still dark and kind of highlighted its darkness. I find it really strange that they have made loads more shades #8 - the other only had 3 shades# yet they have managed to exclude a large UK population by making the lightest one probably only suitable for those with olive skin. 2. Difficult to blend. I always dot it on with the brush then dab it with my index finger and the old one used to adhere really well and blend seamlessly. With this one it kind of dabs off with your finger so you have to try really hard to get it to adhere seamlessly to your skin. 3. IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT. The previous one had rave reviews, a lot of people saying it was better than other popular/expensive brand #I agree because I tried the other really popular/expensive one before finding this one #the old version##. Why stop making something that has rave reviews. 4. Who has under eye concealer the same colour as their face anyway? The skin is totally different and needs a completely different shade/consistency. It needs to be lighter to counteract the darkness. Ironic really because the other one wasn't even called an under eye concealer, but this one is and it isn't suitable for under eye #on me anyway#. Yes I feel strongly about this, because it annoys me when companies discontinue perfectly good products, just to replace it with something that 'sounds good' #style over substance#. It is time consuming and expensive trying out other products to find the next best one that suits my skin. I needed to get this off my chest so that I don't take it out on the counter girl/boy when I go to take it back! #I wouldn't really!# Thanks for listening. I just hope I can get over this one day :-)
