No7 what have you done?
1I have used No7 Instant Radiance Concealer in shade 1 for years, I've always thought it one of the best concealers out there (even better than the main competitor), I've recommended it to friends, I've even been living abroad and have got family to send it over to me during that time because I thought it was that great. I returned to the UK the other week and noticed that No7 no longer make the same concealer. I just thought I'd try the the palest shade from the new range of colours, I couldn't believe how dark it was compared to the old shade 1. I have very fair skin with pinky tones in it and loved that the old shade 1 was pale enough and matched my pink tones. I tried out the new colours in the shop and even the palest is too dark for me, it did not blend with my skin at all, it just looked orange. If you're looking for a concealer for fair skin, unfortunately these are not suitable. No7, I'm all for change and happy that you've improved the concealer but why have you not brought out a shade for fair/pale skin? Please please please bring back the old shade 1 or a similar colour. Like so many other people who've written reviews here I'm disappointed with this new range and sadly will no longer be able to buy this product that I have loved and bought for many years.

Not a patch on the old product...
1Can only echo other reviews of this product...for several years now I'd bought the old version in shade I and loved it for brightening up under the eyes. Bought this a few weeks ago in the lightest shade available from the new range...I have a seven month old (who doesn't like sleep) so at first put the suddenly darkening circles under my eyes down to him!!! But then on a whim bought the product I used to use before Shade I and as soon as I put it on, wow, it was like I had my face back! Haven't touched this new No.7 since and in all honesty it'll probably now end up in the bin. Such a shame that the previous product was discontinued as I had always rated it as just as good as the very top under eye concealers, but more reasonably priced! Feel a bit responsible too as I'd raved about it to friends, two of whom have recently gone out and bought this not knowing it had changed and like me they've found it next to useless! Just sorry I wasted their money and my own. Crazy No.7 seem to be willing to lose so many loyal customers to the old product by replacing it with this.

Why did you change it boots???????
1This concealer has been my one thing that I can't live without for so many many years, I never considered buying another brand because it was amazing! I just opened the new concealer expecting it to be the same and ohhhhhhh I was soooo very disappointed!!!! Why to change such an amazing product. I'm going to the mall today to look for another brand that would give me that glow that I need. shame on you boots !

Perfect example of 'if it isn't broke don't fix it'
1Why oh why change something that was so popular??? The old shades and result were in line with YSL touché éclat....these new ones are basically dark cream, not a clue who would use them as they now have no brightening properties what so ever. So disappointed. BOOTS LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMERS- the review scores speak for themselves. At only £7 more I will be returning to YSL after using your previous product for nearly 10 years!

Terrible!
1I have been using this concealer and loving it, but now they have changed it for the worse! The colour is way too dark, even though I bought the colour recommended to me (20, one of the lightest shades). It makes my new-mummy dark circles look even worse, rather than better! I am very disappointed! £13 wasted. This is going in the bin as I won't be using it again :(

A poor replacement
1Another example of trying to improve and replace a product that didn't need it other than maybe the packaging. I used shade 2 in this for years but none of the replacements are as fair as the shade 2. I tried them in store again one I still have of the old version and it is a very poor replacement. To save everyone the search, Barry M do a similar brush on concealer in pale shades as I looked across various brands. So, at a third of the price as well, I have changed brands and gone elsewhere.

Heartbroken, bring back the light shade!
1I have used this product every day for the past ten years and cannot believe the previous version has been discontinued. It was the best product No. 7 ever produced and I recommended it to friends. If Boots wanted to add more shades to the range why on earth did that involve removing the previous shades and changing the previously flawless consistency of the product? Looking at the comments my feelings are obviously shared by many, this is a complete let down to your most loyal customers. This is the second time Boots has discontinued the lightest shades (last time it was their foundation ranges being replaced by much darker ranges). I am very fair skinned and am now unable to use No. 7 products after a decade of loyalty.

so dissapointed
1Boots what have you done? I have used the original of this product for years and loved it, best on the market. The new shades are all much too dark for me and don't have the desired effect. I have now switched to another brand. please bring back the originals.

What did you do with the original instant radiance concealer?
1this sounded good as I used the original instant radiance concealer as an under eye one (it was this and everywhere else). I thought this would be the same/better. It's not. it's darker, seems to disappear on application - would be better just using the foundation under the eyes. And to top it all, just as I was going to get some more of the original - which I seriously rely on, it was brilliant, it seems that that no longer exists. So I guess this review is more about the lack of the original. Please bring it back.

Horrible
1This product was very disappointing! I have had to return 2 of these as they smell awful after a couple of uses! Anybody else had this problem?
