Rubbish, compared to the original Eye Mousse!
1Like a previous customer, I've used the No 7 eye mousse for many years and loved them, and was so disappointed when I found out they weren't available any more. So I bought the new ones and they are hopeless. Bad applicator, seem to dry up more quickly and much duller colours. The old Pewter mousse gave a lovely luminous sheen, but the new cream is dull and grey and you have to use loads to actually cover the eye. Please bring back the old mousse, this is rubbish!

1the mousse eyeshadow in the tube was so so much better - the coverage is very poor - i always used "fudge" in the tube - please please bring it back - are there any shops that still have the old stock - please

NO7 STAY PERFECT SMOOTHING EYESHADOW
5I really like this eyeshadow, especially having the applicator with it. Glides on easily, love the colour, makes my eyes look bigger too, I went for grey. You used to do it in a plastic container and it came out like a mousse, and you applied with your fingertips. Thought I was going to miss it when you changed it but havent.

Useful shape
4I really like this as an innovation in eyeshadow. More often than not I have no time to use mini brushes or anything else, so the lip gloss-like tube is very handy. People complain about the brush - it could be a bit better, yes, but it gives you enough coverage to start and maybe finish spreading the makeup with your finger. Without a primer, I found it to last about half a day before needing reapplication but I tend to rub my eyes from computer screen induced tiredness too. It doesn't crease, which is a massive bonus. I highly recommend it for anyone who can't be bothered with powders or separate applicators. My only wish would be more colours available.

Bring back the old formula in a tube please!!!!!
1I agree with lots of the other reviews. Not a patch on the old formula. Doesn't go on smoothly with the applicator. No idea if there would be wastage at the end as have binned it after using previous formula daily for a few years!!!!! Badly done Boots, badly done :-(

Inferior quality
1I have used the predecessor to this product for years. But the 'NEW IMPROVED ' formula is not very good. When it was a cream in a tube, it was easy to apply, stayed on longer and lasted longer! I used to use the shade 'Khaki' which was very good, but the NEW 'Light GREEN' shade is insipid, doesn't stay on very long and hard to apply. Bring back the Cream in a tube version, please.

Not impressed.....
1I had used No7 eye shadow mousse for years and loved it. When I went to order some more I found that it was no longer available and this was the replacement. I read the reviews and saw that they weren't great but thought that I would give this product the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately I was not impressed... It is very thin and is not nice to apply. The applicator is a good idea in theory but doesn't work with the thin liquid. Also, the previous mousse had lovely glitter through it and looked really good when applied but this one just looks dull in comparison. I really hope that Boots ditch this product and go back to supplying the mousse. Not sure why they changed it in the first place.... If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!

Perfect Base colour
4The only reason i got this is because it was on special offer and though bronze colour i got was pretty, i had never tried No 7 eye colours before as i normally only wear MAC. The applicator i thought was not easy to use and looked a bit messy the first time i put it on, the next time i wiped the wand onto one of my eyeshadow brushes and went on a treat and blended nicely. The colours are pale so are perfect as the base colour. It does last very well all day with no creasing at all which is perfect.

Easy to apply and very nice glittery effect
5I used to buy the tube model and I was very upset when I couldn't see the product on the No7 shelves, then I found out that they changed the style and now it has an applicator which is useful. I use "pewter" one as a base for a gray to black shadowy eye make up and it stays absolutely perfect. I also use "Iridescent Purple" most of the time as it is, i started to use the soft applicator brush but i like applying it with my finger as i used to do that way with the old one. I pretty enjoy blending it with purple / pink eye shadow as well. it's easy to apply and i like the shiny effect. It is very easy to remove with an eye make up remover I use Simple and i have no problems with removing it! Today I ordered a pewter shine again and a pale green to try! It's my favorite No7 product!

Very pretty effect
4I purchased this in Iridescent Purple because it has a nice glitter effect. It looks a lot nicer on than it did when I tried it on the back of my hand. Although the name implies that it is PURPLE, I would say that it is more of a smoky effect somewhere between mid-brown and browny- purple. I very much like the sparkly effect in it which is quite subtle. I have dry eyes which means I can't wear powder eye shadows as these cause a lot of irritation. Therefore, I prefer to wear cream shadows as they cause no irritation at all. This one stays in place ALL day and I find it just perfect. I'm over 65 and don't find that the shine this shadow gives is too much for someone of my age.
