An innovative product
4Initial thoughts - easy to find in make up bag as it's a bright shiny gold tube! I wasn't sure on the wand though as it was tiny compared to what I am used to. That is my criticism. It doesn't particularly add any volume to my eye lashes. It lengthens, but I need a bit more volume. However, I can't fault it's non smudge formula. It really did stay put all day and night and it only takes a bit of water to remove it.

Not a favourite of mine
2I was a little disappointed with this. The gold casing feels quite cheap, although this is reflected in the lower price point. I'm not a fan of the brush - with it's very strangle little prongs. The colour was a nice deep black but I had to put on so many layers it took ages to get a good effect. No smudges during the day but unfortunately not overly impressed. Such a shame as all the other No 7 products are great!!

Great if you want your mascara to stay put!
4I have been very keen to try this, as I used to buy Blinc mascara, which was only available in a high end department store, which was also smudge proof and came off in tubes. It has taken other cosmetics companies a while to cotton on and I'm glad No 7 brought out their own version as I have generally liked their mascara. It is very easy to apply and has a small brush which means you can effectively cover each lash individually. Although this mascara didn't give me dramatic lashes, it does separate and lift your lashes. It is good for every day wear or for a holiday, rather than for the evening. It would be great if it was slightly thicker as I prefer fuller lashes. Saying that, it is good if you prefer the natural look. The best thing about this mascara is the fact it really does stay on me all day and it didn't budge when I made myself cry to test its effectiveness against tears. Similarly, it didn't come off on the hot and sweaty tube or during our recent period of hot weather. The worst thing about it in my opinion is that it is messy when taking it off with a cotton pad soaked in warm water. It comes off in tubes and you end up with them on your cheeks, so make sure you wash your face after you take it off. I'm also not particularly patient, so I find it quite frustrating as it takes longer than my usual swipe with a face wipe and you have to keep checking that you've got it all off. It is reasonably priced and I will be taking it on holiday with me, as it truly stays put on my lashes! I would recommend it to anyone who has trouble finding a mascara that stays put.

3What I like about this mascara is the fact that it does NOT smudge which is a priority for me! In fact, when being washed or wiped off it comes off in dry flakes rather than creamy streaks. It works as a waterproof mascara as very resistant to tears (tried it :( ) but can be more easily removed as opposed to a waterproof one, so I can definitely recommend this to those who have sensitive eyes and don't wanna spend a lot of time wiping off. Also a positive side: when waking up in the morning does not make me raccoon eyes as some of the mascaras do even after getting rid of it the night before. Easy to apply, not messy and separates the lashes well. I don't recommend it to someone with short lashes tho as it is not going to lengthen them at all (I have average length and I can achieve much better results with another, cheaper mascaras). The price is also an issue as in this price range I would expect a much better result on my lashes. All in all it's an average mascara in my opinion.

Disappointed
1I used to love no. 7 stay perfect mascara, then they stopped selling it. Therefore when I saw it re-released I was so pleased. Well I'm very disappointed, the plastic brush is scratchy and after wearing for a few hours it's so annoying. It doesn't smudge but instead seems to become so dry on your eyes I just want to get it off. Why did it have to be changed? Such s shame...

Great value, great daily mascara - better than the premium brand
5I have been using the Clinique equivalent for a couple of years and I find the Boots formula superior and at a much lower price! It's not a volume adding mascara, but it does make lashes look longer, fuller and for me the big bonus is that it doesn't smudge, flake, or move. I'm terrible for rubbing my eyes but this is can take it all. When is comes to removing the mascara, there's zero risk of 'panda eyes' as it comes off like a dream with a little warm water. I prefer to simply wash mine off in the shower. This No7 version washes off more easily than the Clinique one too!

Magical mascara!
5This is the best mascara I have ever used up to now. The reasons are that the brush is just the right size for me, its small and thin. This stops me from getting mascara smudged on my face and allows for precise application. It makes my lashes look nice and long without being too much. It is easy to remove with some cleanser and water and doesn't leave black marks all over my eyes. Its a great little mascara with a nice shiny gold bottle. Although it is priced over £10, I will be buying it as mascara lasts a while. Also if I use a No7 £5 off discount voucher, i'll get it for an even better price!

Just ok.
3I am very fussy about mascara. I like my eyelashes to look dramatic and to be really black because this makes my blue/gray eyes pop but this just wasn't black enough for me. I thought that it was an ok mascara for a natural daytime look when I tried it by itself with no other eye makeup at the weekend. It is really easy to remove with warm water so would be good for holidays. I thought that it went a bit clumpy when I tried to build it up and I really noticed the fibres on my lashes when I used more than one coat. The brush is quite good and gets to the tiny lashes at the inner corner. Overall a bit disappointing for me. I think that I would like it much more if it was more pigmented and gave me much more volume.

Stays perfect!
5This product does exactly what it promises. It is easy to apply, I was a little worried as the brush seems a bit basic but it works. The mascara goes on easily, and the wand helps separate the lashes. You do only need one coat so this will last ages. I have worn this to work all day during hot summer weather and it really does stay perfect - no smudges! It lasted all evening too. I was surprised to discover that even my usual face wash doesn't shift this product completely and I still have to follow the instructions and remove with warm water on a cotton pad. Not sure how this works but it's great, especially for hot summer days and holidays when my make up usually melts by lunchtime! Well done No7!

WORST PURCHASE EVER
1Bought this product last week. Used today for first time - I wish I hadn't. Worst mascara I have ever purchased. Not a lot of coverage for starters. When I came to take it off oh dear. Does not come off as easy as they say, I tried warm water, hot water, cold water - nothing worked, I started to panic, thought I was going to loose all my lashes. Tried mascara remover, nothing happening. Eventually had to pick it off. Never again. If I had still got the receipt I would have taken it back.
