2

Bought this when i was looking for yet another good foundation, lady in store said i was beige it looked awful didn’t like the colour texture separated on my skin tried it with good moisturiser and primer just never worked for me, not going to try anymore No7 foundations the only one which worked for me they stopped making it, will have to try different brands unfortunately

New formula awful!

1

I use protect & perfect serum and day cream and was loving this foundation on top. My new bottle has a ‘new’ sticker on so I assume the formula has changed. I’ve been colour matched in store to calico. This new formula separates (assume it’s reacting to my moisturiser.. which is no.7). It leaves my face orange and white chalk all over my hands. Had to bin in. Can you recommend a foundation that doesn’t react to your moisturisers please? Thanks in advance

Natural finish

4

I’ve almost finished this bottle having purchased at the beginning of the year. It’s had its ups and downs. Firstly I purchased in winter and the wrong shade I got light ivory instead of light beige but it didn’t matter too much as the coverage is fairly light (I like that) and I bronzered up. I found that it didn’t agree with a few of my moisurisers but when I found one that worked it looked really good on my normal skin. Very natural, not dewy more satin. Lasted most of the day, same as my other foundations. In summer I notice the mismatched colour way more and so haven’t used as much. When I do I get a bit shiny and need a mid wear powder. I don’t like to look too slick. I’d recommend and think it can work for all skin types with the right base.

Great product for older skin

5

I have dry, mature skin and struggle to find foundations that don't emphasise every wrinkle. This stuff is great, it blends really well and I find it's best applied with a foundation brush. If you have very dry skin like I do, I would recommend using a good foundation first as a primer.

I am obsessed!

5

I have the worst skin, no foundation ever settles nicely no matter how much i moisturize and prime. The only one thats ever worked is Estee Lauder Doublewear and that is way out of my normal price range. Tried this foundation and oh em gee!! The colour is absolutely perfect, it makes my skin look amazing and it covers my spots so well whilst looking so natural and not caked on. I am absolutely in love and cant wait until pay day to go and buy some more

Did not work for me

1

I was looking for replacement for DW which I have used for many years, now that my skin is older I wanted something softer, unfortunately I found this not to be even medium coverage, nor did it have any saying power on my skin, worst of all it settled in all of my lines even some I didn't know I had. I so wanted this to work after reading the other reviews, I have 60 year old skin with fine lines a few deep wrinkles, uneven skin tone with open pores, other that that I would say it falls in the normal category.

Doesn’t accentuate dry skin

5

No.7 is my favourite brand for foundation and I feel like it’s never spoken about! I loooove this foundation and have been using it for a few years. It doesn’t cling to my dry areas like other foundations (even tinted moisturisers) do but is able to take away most of the redness. You can still see some dryness of course, because I’m obviously only covering it, but it doesn’t accentuate it like most foundations do. If your goal is to just even out your skin tone and cover minor spots/scarring this is great. I don’t think it would be suited to someone wanting to completely cover up severe imperfections because it’s not that kind of consistency. If you’re deciding between this and the NARS tinted moisturiser and have dry skin, get this one from No.7 instead.

GREAT FOUNDATION - POOR PACKAGING!!

2

I would have given this foundation 5 stars as I really love the texture and coverage unfortunately what let's it down is the packaging!! I was really disappointed and annoyed that when you get near to the end of using this foundation BE VERY CAREFUL when squeezing the silly shaped tube as the foundation flies out and makes one heck of a mess!! It ruined my 6 month old £500 carpet due to the fact it gives for life coverage on carpets!! Until it's in better packaging I for one will not be purchasing again!!

Great for dry aging skin

5

I noticed when I turned 40 that my skin was losing elasticity fast. Fine lines and wrinkles were appearing, and my skin was really dry. My usual matte foundation started to look cakey and flaky and awful. This does not settle into my fine lines and gives my skin a dewy glow. Best of all it doesn’t dry out. I love it. Also bought the tinted moisturiser for every day wear. That’s also great.

So much better than expected

4

My usual foundation has recently been discontinued and I've been looking for something to replace it with so I've bought quite a few different foundations and they were all disappointing. I bought this one on a whim not expecting much but because I know my shade from using the No7 Matte foundation years ago, (and the shade match is better than any other), but I wanted something hydrating as my skin is now very dry. All the products I've tried have been patchy, oxidised or too sheer (Revolution Define and Conceal, The Ordinary Coverage, ELF Flawless Finish) but this is a really lovely formula, very lightweight, you only need a small amount to get a fairly airbrushed finish. I found the finish to be slightly dewy but not so much that you look like you've just finished a 10k. 4* just because I would like more coverage. I'm very pale caucasian with dark brown hair and I bought the shade Calico.
