Glowing, radiant, beautiful skin
5I’m so sad to see this product doesn’t have a 5* rating and I genuinely hope it’s never discontinued. This product is an absolute miracle-worker and I love teaming it up with simple spot-work concealer for fresh skin for everyday. I’m usually quite oily but have no problem with this, and I don’t have to worry about loads of foundation slipping off all day. What’s more, this product protects against everyday pollution and contains an SPF. It’s brilliant for holidaying and travelling.

Excellent product
5Been using this product and its predecessor every day for years. Panicked a bit when I saw the new packaging but was informed by staff that it was the same product, just new packaging. I have wasted so much time and money trying different foundation products for those times when I felt a bit more coverage, I.e. special occasions but have now learned that by gradually “layering”, it does the trick without looking heavy.

Awful product
1Used this when my last triple action tinted moisturiser ran out. I suffer from roseaca and I've always relied on no7 products, especially the triple action tinted moisturiser which I could use everyday without any skin reaction. Used this for 2 days only, have now got burning cheeks and won't be using it again. Very upset with how I look as there was no need to change the product in the first place. Boots should think about people with skin conditions who spend months trying to find a product that suits them only to have the product replaced by something else which causes them problems. Now have to try and find something else I can use that doesn't cause a reaction to my skin.

Really misleading comments
5I was terrified to buy this new version of my old tinted moisturizer due to the many negative reviews here, but I was pleasantly surprised once I got to try it.. City Light is not better than the previous version, but it’s almost as good. It’s not as moisturizing as it used to be, it’s got a slightly better coverage though. My skin is definitely fair/calico and the previous version of the Fair colour was quite dark on me, this is a much better colour for really light caucasian skin. The coverage is so good on my skin I don’t need anything else for daily use, maybe just setting it with a bit of powder afterwards. Oh, and undereye concealer of course. All in all, it’s a good product and I will keep using it.

1Bring back the original one please? Not as nice. Like clay on the skin compared to the gold tube. Why change it?

5Wish people would stop moaning about this fair shade certainly makes me look like a different person always had nice skin but now in my fifties

Dreadful product
1I purchased this is as the tinted moisturiser (Boots No.7 Triple Protection tinted moisturiser) I have used for years has been discontinued. This product is truly awful...it is nothing like the product it replaces. It is thick so does not apply easily, it makes my skin look grey (and at 60 that is not a good look),and shows all the lines and creases. I purchased 3 of the new City Lights (3 for 2), but am very sadly disappointed, they will probably go in the bin. If there were no stars, I would be giving this product 0 stars. Bring back the Triple Protection....it was an amazing product.

Wasn't expecting to like it but I do
4Picked this up as I needed something quick and didn't have time to order my usual products online. I didn't think it would be as good but it works really well. Normally I only wear make-up when going out in the evening but this looks so good I've started wearing it most days. It just gives a slight blurring effect and is subtle enough to look like you're not wearing anything. Just looks like your own skin but better

City Light doesn’t mean much, I’m afraid.
1Boots...please bring back the Triple Protection. It was perfect for my skin and just the right coverage and medium fair was lovely colour. Where do I go now?
