GOOD COLOURS
4I have bought 3 of these before but recently bought another in Modesty which is a mid pinky brown more like your own lip colour. It's a slim tube lipstick with angled tip rather than pointed. These lipsticks have more powder in them to aid the staying power they claim so can be a little drying. I once bought an expensive premium brand one which was SO drying I simply could not use it anymore! You could use a balm first but then it doesn't last quite as long. Well, it seems you can't have everything! However, I find these No7 ones not too bad. The colours are mostly matte but you can put gloss over them. They do have lots of colour pigment in them so are not sheer. I've had Glace which is a metallic pink/gold colour, Chinchilla and Nude which is a very good true nude colour! I would not recommend to my friend only because of the drying nature which might not suit her but are OK for me!

Tranquil Rose - Fabulous!
5I decided to try this brand before checking reviews because I was having a difficult time finding the right colours for me. I'm so glad I did! The lipsticks feel creamy on the lips, go on lovely, have tons of pigment and really last! I bought both Classic Rose and Tranquil Rose, but I already know that Tranquil Rose is going to be my day-in-day-out favourite shade. Both of them are excellent colours for a pale neutral (Bourjois 51), with enough intensity and brightness to suit my skin and enough blue undertones to improve my smile. (The online colour swatches aren't accurate, by the way.) If you need to use a lip pencil, Collection Precision Colour #17 Clover Pink works with both of these lipsticks. So worth spending an extra quid or two for this quality of lipstick!

excellent colour, accentuates dryness
4I was determined to find a mad bright orange red lipstick and tried every single one in a large boots. Gay geranium beat them all for colour and staying power by a long shot. It is an amazing colour and lasts amazingly well, which you really need with a bright colour. I do use lipcote with it, not to make it stay (it does anyway, tho lipcote may help) but it smooths out any tiny inadequacies in the colour caused by my slightly dry lips, and means you don't need lipliner.

Great colour and lasts!
4What I like about this lipstick is the rich colour and the fact it does last. Even after eating and drinking. It is moisturising too. I have it in Glace which is a metallic pink colour - very striking. The only negative is the lipstick style. As it isn't a standard tube I do find it difficult to apply as the shape of the lipstick is different to the traditional style.

Stays perfect!
4This lipstick is lovely, it is very moisturising and stays on for a while even with eating and drinking. I got it in the glace shade, and I would say that the swatch online is inaccurate, it's more mauve-y...fortunately it still suits me!

Colour change
1Luckily I bought this lipstick on offer and did not pay the full price. i just wanted a change from my usual brand. classic rose did not live up to its name and changed colour after I had been wearing it for only about 30 mins.from a lovely pink shade it was an awful burgundy / brown colour and I had to remove it and go back to my regular brand. I found the consistency to be very dry as well. I do think in these cases we should be entitled to a refund! Will not be buying no 7 lipsticks again !!

OK but have used better
4This lippy was nice and easy to apply but the colour was quite pale and dried the lips. It also stained. Another reviewer suggested putting it on over lip balm and this sounds a good idea however it wont last long then. It was an average lipstick but not an average price. Not bad but could have been better

Love it! (but wear over lip balm)
4It feels lovely on the lips and lasts a long time. I also love that it is so matt. BUT wear without lip balm underneath and it is drying and looks lumpy.

Bad consistency
3Sorry No7, some of your products are great but not this one. I am Really gutted about this lipstick. I have it in no 1 Coral Rose and although it's a lovely colour, the consistency accentuates every dry bit on my lips, kind of cakes on and is not even at all. MaxFactor is much better...
