I have been trialling various waterproof mascaras for months for my up and coming wedding I a hot country, they have all either flaked or given me black eyes throughout the day which is not what you expect. I was losing hope until I tried No7 stay perfect which really does live up to its claims. It is easy to apply but rather than coat one eye and do the other before repeating the process again if you want more of a build up, with this you work on one eye building up before it dries before moving onto the next. I have put this mascara through many situations and worn it for long hours and I have not experienced any flaking or black eyes. On the first day I removed all of my makeup with remover (won't work with this product) and slept in the mascara using an eye mask and it still didn't budge. Not something I would ever do but I wanted to see how effective it was as a product. I'm not normally one to write reviews but having had many months testing different products to find one that actually does what it says I felt had to with this product as it may save others the months of despair I've had. All the negative reviews on here either relate to the product clumping their lashes (I can only imagine they are not working on one eye completely before the next) or it not coming off with wipes/cleaner. These people have not read the very clear instructions for the product. You will only remove this with hot water either soaked on a pad or gently rubbing and rinsing your eyes with it where it comes off effortlessly as tubes of product. It has never included my eyelashes coming out. This method is hard to get your head around but it works and the result is my lashes are cleaner than they have ever been before. No more thinking its all removed and waking up with panda eyes the next morning. Give this product a go, but follow the instructions or seek advice from someone in store. I'm just so relieved that my wedding day will be spent without worrying if I have panda eyes!! :)

I cannot believe the number of bad reviews for this product by people who have not followed the instructions! This mascara is removed perfectly by a cotton pad soaked in warm/hot water. You are not meant to use eye make up remover. It's a great mascara, easy to apply, (don't try to cover all lashes in one sweep) and lasts all day. Wish we had Boots chemist in Australia! I have to stock up when visiting!

I've been using this mascara for a year or two now and I think it's the best mascara I've ever tried. I recently have been using another brand as it came in a gift set and it reminded me how good this one is. It's different as it "sets" onto your eyelashes and thus means it doesn't smudge or come off in the swimming pool. As other reviewers have said this means you have to apply once well for the day rather than thinking you'll go over it later on with another application. Also until you're used to it taking it off is a bit strange as it does initially look like eyelashes have come off....but it isn't, instead, it's just strands of the mascara set like little bits of rubber in the shape of an eyelash (this makes it sound worse than it is!). I just wash my face in warm water and face wash and the mascara comes off easily.

If I could return this product I would. This mascara made my lashes feel as though they were covered in hard plastic and as for removing with warm water - forget it. When eventually I was able to remove it a number of my lashes came with it, which as a 'more mature' person is the last thing I want. Needless to say I will not be using this mascara again and would not award any stars reviewing it if the site would allow, which it doesn't.

I LOVE No7 products but I'm really disappointed with this mascara, I have not doubt it is waterproof, sweat proof etc because it feels like coating your lashes in plastic, tried to put on second coat which is impossible as it sets hard, removing the product as instructed was ok, but lost quite a few lashes on day one. Wish I had stuck to my orginal No7 volume waterproof mascara, was hoping for more as this was more expensive.

I don't usually review items but I saw this had bad reviews and felt that this product's benefits needed mentioning. I have very oily skin and have always found mascaras a nightmare and huge waste of money because they always gave me panda eyes within an hour. Even expensive brands made no difference. This mascara, however, was a game changer for me. It never ever gives you shadows or panda eyes! I could sleep in it and wake up still fresh faced! It really is amazing to me for this and no other mascara can compare. However, it's totally differenthe to most mascaras. It's thick and coats the lashes in a rubbery texture, which is how it stays on so well. But you get used to that, and for me, it's more important that I can wear the mascara in the first place! It is also important to note that this mascara should be washed off with water. It comes of easily with water but if you try with other products you might have a hard time. If you find panda eyes a problem, this product is the best.

I have been very keen to try this, as I used to buy Blinc mascara, which was only available in a high end department store, which was also smudge proof and came off in tubes. It has taken other cosmetics companies a while to cotton on and I'm glad No 7 brought out their own version as I have generally liked their mascara. It is very easy to apply and has a small brush which means you can effectively cover each lash individually. Although this mascara didn't give me dramatic lashes, it does separate and lift your lashes. It is good for every day wear or for a holiday, rather than for the evening. It would be great if it was slightly thicker as I prefer fuller lashes. Saying that, it is good if you prefer the natural look. The best thing about this mascara is the fact it really does stay on me all day and it didn't budge when I made myself cry to test its effectiveness against tears. Similarly, it didn't come off on the hot and sweaty tube or during our recent period of hot weather. The worst thing about it in my opinion is that it is messy when taking it off with a cotton pad soaked in warm water. It comes off in tubes and you end up with them on your cheeks, so make sure you wash your face after you take it off. I'm also not particularly patient, so I find it quite frustrating as it takes longer than my usual swipe with a face wipe and you have to keep checking that you've got it all off. It is reasonably priced and I will be taking it on holiday with me, as it truly stays put on my lashes! I would recommend it to anyone who has trouble finding a mascara that stays put.

I would highly recommend this mascara - I am so impressed I actually registered to be able to comment on it. I have never before been impressed with a product that I actually wanted to write a review about it !

I love this!! It goes on nice and thin, so no clumps...but coats lashes really well. It dries quickly (so no disasters when you sneeze etc). Stays put ALL day, without flaking or smudging...but comes off cleanly with warm water. FANTASTIC!!!!

Being a golfer I am out in all weathers and it's difficult to keep mascara on when the wind and rain is blowing in your face. This mascara stands up to all of that and worse. I recommended it to other ladies in my club and they are now using it too.
