I have developed very sensitive eyes and am unable to use any kind of eye-make up remover for waterproof mascara. ( I need waterproof because my eyes often run.) This is brilliant for me because I can take it off with warm water. It never smudges or runs. Coverage isn't great. I don't feel glamorous in it but it's a definite improvement on bare blonde eyelashes.

its my favourite mascara ,only one ive found not to leave black smudges underneath my eyes ,and removed easily with warm water ,fantastic

I absolutly love this mascara. It only requires warm water and a cloth or flannel to remove it so for those of us with sensitive eyes its perfect, meaning you dont have to use make up remover around your delicate eye area. It lengthens my lashes too so i rate it highly

I wish I'd realised this was a tube mascara sooner – I must have walked past it in my local Boots dozens of times without realising what it was. I've been using tube mascaras since I first saw them in 2004 and since then I've worked through most of the brands looking for the "ideal." When the American brand I usually bought became hard to find in the UK, I moved across to Japanese and Korean one, and while they were longer-lasting, they were harder to remove. Then, purely by chance, I saw a review of the Boots mascara, realised what it was, and fell in love with it as soon as I tried it. It's the ideal balance between durability and ease of removal. I don't like the brush very much, but that's a small inconvenience to put up with for such a good formulation.

I have tried various mascaras in the No 7 range but this is by far my favourite. From the first swipe of the compact wand my lashes double in length. The wand lifts and separates my lashes with no clumping whatsoever. I use brown/black because it has a softer appearance than stark black.

I’ve just this mascara for a few months and it has pulled a lot of my eyelashes out, I use nothing else on my eyes only this mascara and now I have a massive gap and a chunk of eyelashes missing. I have long dark thick eyelashes and now I feel they are ruined. I will not be using again. Do not buy!!!

I got this mascara as a stocking filler for Christmas and started using it a few days ago. I've used No7 before and never had any issues. I was impressed at first, it looked like I was wearing extending false eyelashes but looked natural and really nice. The issue came when I took it off...I read the back and it said to use warm water with a cotton wool pad, which I did. It turned the mascara into a goo, which actually didn't bother me initially, it wasn't until I pulled apart the goo did I realise that it had taken some of my eyelashes with it. I thought I would try again and see if it was just a one off and attempted to remove the mascara in the shower instead, and the same thing happened. I noticed that even more eyelashes were coming out and that my my eyelashes were noticeably thinner and shorter than before using this product. The only positives are nice eyelashes when you put it on, but it won't be much good when you have no eyelashes left from removing the mascara!

I purchased this mascara by mistake, but decided as it was No7, I’m sure it would be good... it is the worst mascara I have ever used. Other reviews are right, it’s clumpy and sticky and looks awful when applied. I threw it away within a week!

I bought this yesterday as a change from my usual No7 mascara, I'll be going back to my tried and tested one because this one is plasticicy stringy when you try to remove it. Not my cup of tea.

I was looking for a mascara that was waterproof, smudge proof, flake proof and that basically stayed put come what may and hurrah!! I have found it. I have worn it in rainy conditions, humid weather and cried through it and it has stayed put! Now to clear up some confusion, this removes easily with warm water or an oil based eye make up remover, both used with a cotton wool pad. The texture of the mascara is different to that of a non waterproof mascara on removal but surely this is to be expected. I personally have no problem with this. I have also read other reviews saying that after trying to remove the mascara with a baby wipe, the product "took my eye lashes with it". Again, you should expect this if using a baby wipe to remove any waterproof mascara! The fact that this product is so difficult to remove using any other method than that recommended is a testimant to its durability. It applies like a dream and the small wand allows ease of application into the corners. I would definitely buy this mascara again.
