the most useless mascara on the planet 2 b quite honest, the only thing it does that it says it will do is it washoff with water. even then it makes a horrible mess of black pieces all over your face. it clumps up on your lashes and its really runny and wet. RUBBISH do NOT waste your money, you will be seriously disappointed.

I've been after a decent daytime mascara for ages which doesn't smudge/disappear during the day and isn't too heavy (I don't need massive eyelashes during the day). Then I found this and it really is the best mascara I've ever used. So unlike anything else I've tried, particularly when removing it. Whereas normally it can be tricky to take mascara off and you find some under your eyes in the morning, this even comes off when just washing your face at the sink. Nothing special needed - just a bit of wiping with a flannel and it 'flakes' off. Fantastic product - so pleased I found it!

I liked the fact that this mascara did not have a very strong (and off-putting) smell and that it glided on effortlessly, but without creating clumps. I also liked the fact that it didn’t irritate my eyes. However, as my lashes are naturally dark, it took more than one coat of mascara to give them any volume and I wasn’t that impressed with the brush. (It’s excellent from the point of view that it doesn’t have long bristles, so it’s harder to poke yourself in the eye, but I don’t like how it delivers the product onto the eye-lashes. Longer brushes seem to spread the product along the lashes better and are better at removing excess product off the lashes). I also had trouble with removing the mascara. I didn’t use water so hot that it’d burn my eyelids, but warm enough that it should remove the mascara easily, but it wouldn’t come off “nicely”. (It came off easily, but in little pieces that stuck to my skin, so I ended up chasing them all over my eye lids to get them off, which tugged on the delicate skin around the eyes a bit). On the plus side, it didn’t come off when I accidentally rubbed my eyes.

After searching for years for a mascara that does not run, smudge or flake and is hypo-allergenic this one seems to fit the bill. Might be pricey but hopefully worth it. Well done No 7

As a contact lens wearer I need to be careful with mascara. And until now, I had never found a mascara that lasted the day and didn't give me panda eyes. I love this mascara. The wand and brush make it easy not to over-apply.

So in my opinion here is the list! Cons * Application and wand. It takes a lot of effort to get any coverage with this mascara. The wand is small and does not hold a lot of product. * Does not give any volume or length, I have used curlers to see if this helps but does not. I like to make a feature of my lashes esp with minimal make up - this does not do this/ * Removal, this may sound silly but I find water more of a pain as in the shower I don't have cotton pads and usually cleanse my face with a balm, I cannot do that with this and it adds an extra step for me. Pros * Very natural look, ideal for younger girls starting to wear make up. * Doesn't move throughout the day * Removal, again this is a pro esp for youngsters starting out who don't have an established routine, water is quick and easy All in all it is not for me but saying that my eldest daughter is a fan! Depending what you are looking for it could work or not. If you are a fan of longer, thicker and fuller lashes this is not for you but if you like simple day, natural look then it could be!

Initial thoughts - easy to find in make up bag as it's a bright shiny gold tube! I wasn't sure on the wand though as it was tiny compared to what I am used to. That is my criticism. It doesn't particularly add any volume to my eye lashes. It lengthens, but I need a bit more volume. However, I can't fault it's non smudge formula. It really did stay put all day and night and it only takes a bit of water to remove it.

What I like about this mascara is the fact that it does NOT smudge which is a priority for me! In fact, when being washed or wiped off it comes off in dry flakes rather than creamy streaks. It works as a waterproof mascara as very resistant to tears (tried it :( ) but can be more easily removed as opposed to a waterproof one, so I can definitely recommend this to those who have sensitive eyes and don't wanna spend a lot of time wiping off. Also a positive side: when waking up in the morning does not make me raccoon eyes as some of the mascaras do even after getting rid of it the night before. Easy to apply, not messy and separates the lashes well. I don't recommend it to someone with short lashes tho as it is not going to lengthen them at all (I have average length and I can achieve much better results with another, cheaper mascaras). The price is also an issue as in this price range I would expect a much better result on my lashes. All in all it's an average mascara in my opinion.

This is the best mascara I have ever used up to now. The reasons are that the brush is just the right size for me, its small and thin. This stops me from getting mascara smudged on my face and allows for precise application. It makes my lashes look nice and long without being too much. It is easy to remove with some cleanser and water and doesn't leave black marks all over my eyes. Its a great little mascara with a nice shiny gold bottle. Although it is priced over £10, I will be buying it as mascara lasts a while. Also if I use a No7 £5 off discount voucher, i'll get it for an even better price!

I am very fussy about mascara. I like my eyelashes to look dramatic and to be really black because this makes my blue/gray eyes pop but this just wasn't black enough for me. I thought that it was an ok mascara for a natural daytime look when I tried it by itself with no other eye makeup at the weekend. It is really easy to remove with warm water so would be good for holidays. I thought that it went a bit clumpy when I tried to build it up and I really noticed the fibres on my lashes when I used more than one coat. The brush is quite good and gets to the tiny lashes at the inner corner. Overall a bit disappointing for me. I think that I would like it much more if it was more pigmented and gave me much more volume.
