I have been using the original hot cloth cleanser for years and loved it, I always stock up when the 3 for 2 offer is on so I have only just tried the new formula. When I bought it I was reassured by a boots employee that it was exactly the same formula and that it was just the packaging that has changed, so I bought two, I wish I’d saved my money and I’m very annoyed that I was Misinformed. The smell of the new formula is very strong, a bit like sun cream, too over powering for me. The consistency is also much thinner and doesn’t feel as nice or luxurious to rub into your face. After using the product for a few days I have sore eyes and spots all over my cheeks, an area of my face where I never get spots. I will be returning both items form refund and will definitely not be repurchasing. Very annoyed!

I love the original formula, creamy, nice scent and took off all my makeup with no stinging on the eyes. Since that is no longer the formula i swiched to the Aldi lacura one but it just isnt as good. Please bring back the original, my skin needs it!

After reading the reviews on here I thought I would ask for a sample to try the cleanser out before I bought it. I’m glad I did, my skin felt dry and dull after a few uses. I had been using the old Hot Cloth Cleanser which was lovely, hopefully they will bring it back! The balm however is lovely, if you haven’t got on with the new Hot Cloth Cleanser I would recommend giving it a go.

I totally disagree with the low ratings on this product, I have been using it for 2 weeks now and my face feels so much cleaner, my skin is less stressed and totally blemish free, I use the toner and moisturiser too and I have great results, I will definitely buy it again

Can’t use it in my eyes! It makes them sting. Back to LE I go! :( Bring back old version!!! If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

This made me breakout all over my face. I know it was the cleanser ad nothing else in my skin routine has changed. The smell is also very stange like fake plastic.

While it removed my make up, it left my skin feeling slightly sore and itchy. There is absolutely no comparison with LE but the price differences might be the reason why the products do not compare. I will not be buying this again. Apparently the Aldi version is good so I might try that one...

A poor replacement for what was a wonderful cleanser. I have used the beautiful skin hot cloth cleanser for years and loved it, recommending it to several friends over the years. This new one is too perfumed, not as creamy, irritating my skin and stings my eyes. Not to mention the massive price jump and the fact that you now cannot see how much is in it. Please Boots, get your act together and bring back the old one. Please??

I shall be returning this product to my local store having checked out these reviews. I have been in contact with Boots head office to ask them to bring the original hot cloth cleanser back and they have said if there is enough demand then they will consider doing this. Please if you feel strongly about this , as I do, then email them and hopefully between us we can get this product back. I'm not sure what I'm going to use in the meantime as this was my go to cleanser.......
