Fab sunscreen, tinted moisturiser & anti ager in one
4Whether you like this will depend on a couple of things - if the colour suits you (forget it if you're very pale), and your expectations. You are more likely to enjoy it if you view it as a proper BB cream for everyday wear as I do (a tinted moisturiser which happens to provide cracking sun protection & anti aging benefits into the bargain) rather than a sun cream to wear during your beach/pool holiday. I wear an spf50 every day of the year due to pigmentation issues so this is ideal for me - I have normal/combination skin so can apply this straight on top of my serum (or bare skin on hot days), it gives decent coverage evening out skin tone & blurring imperfections whilst still letting my skin show through, and it has broad spectrum spf 50 without any ashy/ghostly whiteness so this saves me a lot of time & steps in the morning (no need for separate moisturiser, sun screen or foundation). Colour wise I would definitely suggest trying it on your face & letting it sit a while before buying because I would never have thought the light version would be right for me - it looks quite pale straight out of the tube & on the back of my hand, but after a few minutes on my skin it becomes deeper, then stays that way. I also bought a tube of the untinted spf50 whilst it was on offer to mix with during the cooler months when even the fair shade would be too dark. Like any tinted make up product, watch out for it getting on your clothes or sunhat because it will leave brown marks. If you are going on a city break somewhere sunny and want to look extra polished whilst you're sightseeing this could be a good option as it will cut down on how many skincare & make up products you need to bring along in your luggage, but for a beach or pool type holiday definitely go for the untinted, non BB version instead.

Awful product
1I bought this for holidays, and am incredibly disappointed. It was thick and irritating, and I couldn't wait to wash it off. It was like an oil slick - it stayed like a shiny layer on my skin. The thought of reapplying as detailed on the bottle was not an option! I've tried a really thin layer, which means you probably don't get the SPF, but it's still horrible on my skin. I felt like I wanted to scratch it off it was so irritating. I'll be heading back to boots to get a refund on this - paying nearly £15 for this was a complete waste of money

Love this product
5I bought this product as I like to wear a tinted moisturiser/ light foundation over my sunblock, which is a problem when you come to reapply your sunblock! This product completely does the job of both! It evens out my skin tone whilst making it look really healthy and glowy, without the shine. I was using Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue over my sunblock, but this product it just as good!! Love it

very disappointed
2sticky and greasy,my face looked quite oily after applying it,nice smell though.Unfortunately I had a break out after using it for 2 days.will not use it again.

Comes off when you wash
1This "ADVANCED BB" product is brown in colour, and much to my surprise, an hour and a half after applying, it washed straight off. My towel was left with brown markings. These markings did wash out. But I am left wondering if there is a fault with this product. Previously I had used the standard product (white in colour) with no issues, for a number of years.

Perfect skin ! But please bring out a Very Fair :)
4This is just lovely. I was amazed how perfect my skin looked halfway through the morning when i nipped to the bathroom and got a pleasant suprise looking in mirror. Pores and fine lines were smoothed and my skin looked an even tone, no more red chin! When initially applied, coverage was smooth but I looked a bit greasy skinned and over applied face powder then had to use a toner sprItz to de-cake my face ! The trick is to apply at least 15-30 mins before other makeup as after that time then its like a good quality primer & foundation but without the heavy look of some foundations. Yesterday wore it alone with just tinted lip balm, no face powder, and noticed i looked naturally healthy. One thing to be aware of is that i am very pale skinned and had i not been using a light summer glow fake tan for few days beforehand (Garnier summer skin) this Fair shade would have been a touch too dark. So for winter months it would be great if Boots No 7 could do a Very Fair colour. As i'd love to use year round. 4 stars not 5 due to this lack of a paler colour.

Only factor 50 I can tolerate on my face
5This comes in white and fair. As others have said the fair is quite warm. I am fair so just mix the two to get the shade I need for my face. The white is great on your neck, it disappears quickly and doesn’t mark clothes. My daughter 20 and I both use this daily. The only product I would not be without. The lipstick (yellow case - only 1 shade) I also really like.

Not fair at all
1Really disappointed in this product! It is 2-3 shades darker than I would consider to be fair. The actual ingredients and feel of it on your skin is good, just a shame I looked like Madge from Benidorm.

Unfortunately not a fair friendly shade
4Be warned if you have actual fair skin as this shade is not fair, if you put on the correct amount to get spf50 protection then be prepared to look very orange. In my opinion this would need to be 2 shades lighter to be called fair. Shame as the consistency is nice and the ingredients seem great (apart from the fragrance!) I’ll be passing this on to relative who has darker skin than me. Please No.7 improve the shades at both ends of the spectrum for this product.
