Perfect for very fair skin
5Have bought this every year for a number of years. Not oily, lasts for months, great protection if you are freckly and try to avoid the sun. Use on face and décolletage from April to Oct. good offers on second one half price.

Used for the First Time
4I really liked this product on holiday last week. Its texture is lovely, it rubs in really well, has a pleasant smell and doesn't leave the face sticky or like a white mask. My only gripe is that nowhere on the packaging does it claim to be water resistant. On a holiday in the sun, with constant swimming, this is a big drawback and it made me anxious about whether or not I was protected in the pool. For peace of mind I put on the water resistant Factor 50 sunscreen I was using for my body every time I went in to swim. If it's not water resistant this is a big oversight on Boots part. Apart from this I really liked it as a product.

Great sun protection
4I live and work in West Africa and was keen to protect my skin carefully. I am delighted with this product. It is quick and easy to apply and really does protect my skin. In temperatures over 40 degrees my face does perspire a lot, but there is no discernible skin damage. Wouldn't leave home without it!

Leaves my face sticky and shiny - ugh!
1I bought this as my free of the 3 for the price of 2 just to try it out. However, it doesn't suit my normal (ageing) skin at all. I like that it's spf50, the perfume is ok,and it does give a very subtle colour cover which I like, but the texture is incredibly sticky and it doesn't dry down at all , so my face is both sticky and shiny in this 30 degree heat

Fantastic
5Never used suncream under makeup before but this is brilliant and foundation sits perfectly on top.

Offers good sun protection, but shiny and greasy
3I really wanted to like this but considering it describes its self as 'light' and giving a 'no shine' finish it was really dissappointing. It honestly is very shiny and feels so heavy once you start rubbing it in. The finish doesn't dry down or change at all, and even with makeup over the top it still requires re-powdering hourly to deal with the constant break-through shine. I don't have oily skin at all either! Considering that price-wise this is competing with ranges like La Roche Posay Anthelios (only £1.50 more expensive), it is not even close to the quality, sadly.

Great protection
5I bought this last year as I have often burnt my forehead in the summer and thought it was time to start being more sensible with my skin. This factor 50 facial sunscreen is really effective and I had no problems last summer at all. It can be a little greasy but that is the only downside and I do have greasy skin anyway so probably better on dry skin. A little goes a long way as well.

Very thick texture
1I don't get why this sunscreen is rated so high. The texture is very thick, like Nivea creme, which definitely doesn't suit everyday use and is never suitable for face. If you have dry skin, using this alone is enough, however putting sunscreen directly on your face is not good for skin, let alone this sunscreen is not fragrance free. Because of the very thick texture, using enough amount of sunscreen (1 tablespoon) is impossible! All in all, I do not recommend this product to anyone!

Not practical
1In theory this is a great sunscreen - non greasy, easily absorbed and supposed gives really good protection. What's not to love, right? But take a look at the instructions on the back in more detail: They recommend reapplying this every 1-2 hours, (which I'm guessing if you are at work involves removing all make up, putting this on, then reapplying make up every 1-2 hours!) and here's the kicker - they suggest "generous" application for maximum protection (with no explanation as to what "generous" entails) and then say there are 20 applications in this bottle! Well, first of all, I apply "generously" every day and this bottle has lasted me a good 6 weeks so far. But think about it - reapplying lets say every 1 1/2 hours, even if that was practical, so let's say 4 times a day during the hours of sunlight. This bottle will last you 5 days. At 14.50. 30 days in a month. So you will need 6 bottles a month of this stuff at 14.50 x 6 = almost 90 quid a month spent on sunscreen! So there is the get out clause: yes this stuff may work, as long as you marinade yourself in it liberally every hour on the hour and blow 90 a month on it. That's just ridiculous! Come on Boots - can't you come up with something more practical than this?!

Suncare SP50
5I have been using this cream for quite a long time now and I love it. Please don't alter the ingredients in any way as this is the best suncare product that I have found on the market which I use as a moisturising cream every day to protect my sking from the sun.
