unsure where this fits in a skincare regime
3For me, this wavers between 3 and 4 stars mainly because I can't really see a use for it, but it was ok. I'll explain.... It feels very like a standard moisturiser, so that was a positive - ie light and easy to apply, however I wouldn't replace my standard moisturiser with this as I would rather use a moisturiser with a function ie hydrating and firming but including an SPF of which there ae several about. In terms of using it as a sun cream, it does work, but in the hot weather you need to keep applying it every time you face sweats (or it'll burn in my experience) and in terms of a facial sun cream in hot weather I'd rather have ond that stays on most of the day ie one from Soltan or another Brand you cant currently buy on boots, starting with Ultra. So you see the dilemma- it was ok but I wouldn't buy again.

Excellent Sun protection product
5I love this product. I have vary fair skin being a natural redhead and am really pleased to have discovered this product. It has excellent sun protection and unlike most high SPF creams it is not to thick or greasy. It smoothes onto the face and neck well and is a pleasant creamy consistency. I would definitely recommend this for very sunny days over a SPF30 product. Not cheap but I expect the long term results will be worth it.

Much lighter than other factor 50's!
4I've always found sun factor 50 cream to be very heavy for my skin type - usually resulting in blocked pores but this was different. It was very light & easy to rub in and felt more like a normal moisturiser than a sun cream. With the added benefit of Boots Protect & Perfect as well - I'd definitely buy this again.

Good protection
4This ia a thick creme which has a pleasant floral odour. You only need a small amount for your skin and one pea sized blob should do your whole face. It does rub in quite easily but leaves an oily texture to the skin and the skin is also shinier than without in the light. I can't say I have noticed a big difference to my skin but then again this product is there to protect it rather than enhance it and in the recent hot spell we have had in the UK (approximately 28 degrees plus), I can only say it does the trick. I think I would purchase this again but only if going somewhere really hot as I tend to have a skin creme with factor 15 incorporated. Another good product from No 7.

great quality, a pleasure to use
5When trying this i expected it to be thick and greasy like most spf50 creams, however this is totally different, it goes onto skin like a good quality moisturiser and feels soft and smooth, no residue at all just a very slight pleasant smell. Just come back from little break in spain and used this on my face every 2 hours during day, it worked very well, no burn at all just soft smooth skin, also works well under makeup without making mascara melt onto skin, so no panda eyes. Would definitely use this again.

Good sun protection with added P&P
4At last a high sun protection cream that is good under make-up!! Sometimes factor 15 just isn't enough for some skin types especially mine. This is a nice cream, although if you are wearing it under make-up don't apply too much like it tells you to as you may find it quite thick. A nice thin layer does the trick on an average day. But if you are planning on using it whilst sunbathing use the recommended amount for maximum protection. The bonus of this being a Protect and Perfect product gives you the added reassurance that it WILL keep those signs of aging at bay while you enjoy the sunshine!! :-)

Great idea
4Great idea to combine the serum with sun protection. You don't need much although with sun protection products it says to use more than you think. Its fairly thick but does spread easily over face and absorbs in, pleasant smell, not strong at all. Its ok under make up but then you can't reapply, so if out in the sun its best just to wear this then top up after a few hours. It did make my skin go a bit more oily than usual and although I felt safe in the sun I didn't get any tan on my face, maybe an spf 30 option would be good.

5I am a huge fan of Boots Soltan suncare range and have been buying this for years to protect myself and my family. I was very intrigued to review a No7 facial sun protector as hugely conscious of protecting my face not only from sunburn but ageing too. This product is fab - I love it and will be using it from now on as facial protection against the sun! Its a lovely easy to use bottle, gorgeous delicate fragrance, slides on smoothly and absorbs easily and non greasy. I find it is not at all heavy and has given me fab protection in the hot sun we have had the past few weeks. I put it on all my face, particularly my neck line and under eyes plus eyelids and it has worked well in preventing me from burning and hopefully will also protect against anti ageing too. Well recommended!

Protect and Perfect
5Great product. Easily applied and absorbed, not like a typical sunscreen that leaves skin feeling clogged and greasy. Great under foundation and/or other make-up products. I also used this on my baby as SPF50. Handy travel size. A definite must have.
