Looks gorgeous, stays put
5I have been buying this mascara since it first came out. I am fair with long lashes and wear the brown/black, I have only tried other brands when I haven't been able to buy this colour and none have proved to be as good as No 7. Having sensitive eyes, they water a lot, I need a waterproof mascara and this one never budges (until you need to remove it with wipes). I prefer the traditional wand this mascara has and the build up effect is great so you can have light coverage during the day and wear more layers for evening. It doesn't cause panda eyes or flake, it stays where you put it - on your lashes. Hope this is around forever.

Worst mascara I have ever tried, zero stars!
1I was recommended this mascara by a friend, and I bought 3 of them in a special offer. I have long blonde eyelashes, and using a double coating of this it looked like I had no eyelashes at all. This is without doubt the worst mascara I have ever used in 55 years of makeup. I thought all mascaras are pretty much the same, but this is a totally pointless waste of money. I have tried 2 different tubes over a period of 2 weeks, and no improvement. This morning I used an old Lancôme mascara from the back of my drawer that is at least a year old, and 1 coat of that was much more obvious.

Lovely eyelashes
5I bought this mascara as recommended by No 7 expert at my local Boots. Other mascaras leave me with panda eyes. This one lasts all day, gives me longer looking eyelashes and no flaking. Highly recommend :-).

Excellent
5I bought this today as I’ve started swimming and really love my mascara and feel a bit lost not being able to wear it in the pool. This is great, goes on lovely, nice brush and doesn’t clump on the lashes. The best bit is that after a 75 minute swim, it was still perfect, no flaking, no smudging, nothing. It looked like I had just applied it. This will no be a permanent buy. Very happy!

Does not perform well
1Would not buy again - and have already gone back to my old favourite maybelline. The no7 just does not last, is clumpy and does not look as good.

It IS waterproof!
4Stays put all day and is very black! Does not smudge and makes lashes look longer. Good value too.

Definitely not waterproof
1I bought this mascara recently as have taken up swimming and aqua aerobics and want a mascara that will stay put in the pool. I usually like the brand as it's supposed to be good for people who are sensitive to make-up, however, this product was very disappointing. I have worn it several times now, to aqua aerobics, swimming and in the shower. On each occasion the mascara has flaked off, leaving flakes of mascara around and in my eyes, causing irritation and also creating a bad make-up look. I would honestly prefer to use the non-waterproof mascara because at least that comes straight off without leaving a mess. At the same time as purchasing this mascara I received a goodie bag with a smaller version of the extreme length waterproof mascara. I have left the same review for that as it also flakes off and is far from waterproof. I'd go as far to say that it breaches trade/product description.
