Primers for 40+ skin
4I usually use Benefit "thats my gal" as my primer but was given this as a present so decided to try it. I have olive skin, medium sized pores and am 41. It is lovely to apply and sinks in very easily giving a nice finish. However I need a pinkish tone to my primer to warm up my skin. I would recommend this to use if you do not have olive toned skin like me. Boots can you please do a version of this with a pink tone. It is much easier to apply than my Benefit primer but lacks its pink tone.t

prime primer!!
4just tried a little sample of this from boots. have tested it out in shop before and does seem to give skin a nice smooth appearance and a nice base for makeup. maybe a little drying for sensitive skin? as skin felt a little tight but overall nice smooth face and helps makeup stay on better and for longer.

Disappointed
1I bought this product as i was looking for a new primer to use but i am extremely disappointed. I have never had any reactions or problems with any make-up product. This primer is hypo-allergenic (which was just a coincidence,i didn't buy it for this reason) however it is the only make-up product i have ever had a problem with. The day i used it, my skin had a burnt look to it by the end of the day and i was unsure of what i'd done. The next day i used it again, but i noticed as soon as i put it on and started doing the rest of my make-up, red spots had appeared and i had patches at the side of my face. Given the fact that this is hypo-allergenic and i have no issues with my skin and never suffered with acne, i was very surprised that this had happened. my skin still looks bruised on my cheeks and i will never be buying No7 products again.

Nothing Magic about this primer!
1This Instant Illusions feels nice and smells nice but that's the end of the line. I've been wearing it over moisturiser and under Dermalogica foundation for the last few weeks in the vague hope that it (or I) might have a Eureka moment Sadly, on my skin it makes absolutely no difference to the quality of my lovely wrinkles. Twenty pounds down the drain but then I shouldn't really have fallen for the advertising blurb, should I!

Excellent creamy primer
5This primer has such a creamy texture, and feels lovely and moisturising to apply. It is a creamy formula, white and dries in seconds. My make up sits well on it and lasts a full day in work - 10 hours. I am really impressed with this.

Favourtie Primer
5I love love love this primer! I usually keep it for when i'm going out or have the time to perfect my makeup as it is pricey for everyday use! This makes my makeup so flawless! I have used other high end brands for primer and this beats it hands down!

Quite impressed
4I bought this when it was on offer before Christmas. I have quite large pores and suffer with redness. It went on very smoothly and my foundation (No.7 Superlight) looked a lot better with this underneath. I also noticed it really improved the staying power of my foundation.

Skin feels so soft & smooth
5Got this as a christmas present & I love it. Makes my skin feel so soft. Used under BB cream and makes my skin look smooth. Quite a small tube but a little blob seems to be all that is needed.

Doesn't make any difference
1I decided to give this product a go after trialling a more expensive brand (Dermatalogica) that worked very well but as the No7 product was claiming the same effects at almost half the price, I thought I would give it a go. On the positive side, it applied very well and easily with a very slight, pleasant fragrance. It felt very clam and soft on my skin and my foundation went on smoothly over the top. On the negative side, it made no difference whatsoever to my skins appearance. I persevered with it in case I hadn't applied enough but to no avail. In short - it was a waste of money. I should have read the reviews before I bought it.

No difference
1I used this... And was very disappointed, this made no difference at all. I bought to use over the Christmas holidays, but you couldn't see the difference. I even tried in half my face, so see and compare, again you couldn't see. If I'd kept the receipt, I would have taken back. Unhappy.
