4 coats and counting...
1I keep buying no7 nail varnish as I trust the brand and the colours are so lovely. BUT. Every time I am bitterly disappointed. Watery, and some how still sticky and streaky, making it difficult to apply. And it never lasts longer than a couple of days before it starts to peel. The colours are so promising in the bottle but rarely live up to expectation. I have applied 4 coats today and can STILL see streaks from the first coat. Not good, No 7. And not cheap either. Think it’s time to stick to Essie.

Disappointing
2I bought Coral crush as I loved the colour and the fact it was advertised as Gel- like and needed only one coat. I found I needed 3 coats otherwise it looked steaky and even now does not look like Gel nails. Expensive as it has turned out to be just an ordinary nail varnish.

Best nail varnish
5My nail varnish chips within hours of applying usually, this is amazing! It hasn't chipped over a few days which is a miracle for me, and the colour is so nice and the consistency is so thick it looks like real gels

Needs multiple layers for the colour to look ok
1Luckily I got this for free as part of a No7 promotion gift box and just tried it today so not sure how long it is going to last just yet. However, you need to use multiple layers of colour to have an even finish and even after three layers it still looks very weird and not blended nicely. Also takes longer to dry even though I had to wait for each layer to dry out properly it still feels a bit sticky... Very disappointed

5Doesn’t last too long but who cares as it’s easy to apply and mega fast drying. Love it! Saving my nails from years of gels

Long lasting and no chips
5I bought this polish on a whim and also got the pink grapefruit in the free gift box. Normally nail varnish lasts a couple of days for me before chipping and wearing in the tips. So far I’ve had this on four days and it is going strong! I used a base coat, two coats of varnish and a top coat so it wasn’t a quick paint job but the results are worth it.The gel finish is great. Definitely buying more colours!

Another great freebie
5I received this in “grapefruit” as a free gift from a recent cosmetics purchase. I was unsure of the colour but when I applied it, it was actually okay. Like other free gifts, I wouldn’t have bought this if I’d been browsing but I’m pleasantly surprised by it and now would like to try other colours. I’ve had two coats on for almost a week now and it’s only just started chipping. It’s a great alternative to shellac especially if like me, you don’t like the process off removing shellac nail gel. This stuff comes off easily. Great coverage with two layers but might go for three next time.

Great polish
4Ive had mine for a few years.. now that I have really pretty nails thanks to collagen supplements I have started to use this polish again. And I love it. If I only put one layer it only last for a day or two..thats why I only gave it 4 stars... so I put a 2nd coat after 2 days and it looks amazing and last for another 3-4 days. Great polish!

Disappointing
1Chipped on second day. Wondering if I should invest in a base coat and a top coat? Considered taking this back to the shop.
