Like a lot of the other reviews on this product I too found that it began chipping after just a few hours. I tried applying two coats but to no avail I’m really disappointed and feel that I have wasted my money! I never write reviews but feel so strongly about the sub standard quality of this product I have to warn fellow shoppers to please stay away!

I'm really hard on my nails, and usually, nail varnish will chip within a few hours of being applied, after a sustained assault with typing, washing up and battling the photocopier. However, the No 7 gel-look nail polish is the closest thing yet I've found to long-lasting perfection - I applied one coat, which dried much quicker than anticipated, plus a top coat, and had almost two days of chip-free nails. I am never going to be a classy and sophisticated adult, alas, who can rock painted nails - but this polish does ensure I can at least have a night out without chips. I've bought pretty much all the colours, as this is as close to sophistication as I will ever come! If you struggle to maintain your nail polish, and find you are prone to chipping, it's well worth trying this. It might not give you a full week of perfection, but it will certainly last all night.

I used this in the Galaxy shade, which is more of a dark purple with glittery accents of blue, orange and red. It is very different to the swatch shown on the website. It is a lovely colour! It definitely has a shine to it – someone even commented that my nail polish was very shiny – but it did chip very easily. I found I had to keep it in my handbag for touch ups, which were pretty much every day. Great if you’re a wear it once then remove type, though or like me you change your colour every few days.

I have this polish in a deep red/purple shade with a hint of glitter. The application is quite easy, two or three strokes cover the nail completely. The result of this polish looks very professional with a glossy shiny finish. However I found that it took quite a long time to dry completely and found that it chipped the day after application. For the price of this product I would expect it to last longer. I used a base and top coat however it was a different brand to No7 so using the recommended base/top coat may help the polish to last. Removing the polish was also a little difficult as the glitter particles seemed to linger on the nails for quite a while. The look of this polish is very good however I probably wouldn't purchase this product even if it was on sale simply because of the short longevity on the nails before chips occurred.

I really like this nail varnish, the colour i have is Galaxy which is a beautiful shimmery purple. It applies lovely, has a shiny opaque finish and dries very fast. Only problem i found is that even with a top coat it chips after 1 day. i recommend it for any parties you have or maybe a weekend away.

The polish is easy to apply and dries quickly with an even, gel-like finish that looks super-shiny and expensive. I used the galaxy shade, which is a very rich, deep maroon/wine colour (it looks completely different to the online swatch so I'm not too sure what's going on there?) It's a fantastic colour for the Christmas party season and I'm looking forward to trying it out on my toes (with some sparkly summer sandals) when the weather warms up again.

Same frustration with tis as any other No.7 Polish, it just chips too easy. it looks great for all of a few hours before it starts to flake off. Easy application and great range of shades just not very good staying power.

I was sent the Galaxy colour to test. Please note the colour I have is a deep plum with glittery look, not the peachy colour shown on the colour chart on here for the product. The product is very good. I loved the flat brush wihich does make application so much easier. The colour is deep & very rich & the added glitter does give it the "wow" factor. This is not a colour I would normally wear on my finger nails as it is a bit too dark, but it does look superb on toe nails!! The polish lasted about 3 days before chipping on my finger nails, but I did put it through its paces by sorting out a junk filled garage, cleaning my car (in & out of water) & going on a house cleaning rampage - if it wasn't for all of this it would have probably stayed put alot longer. I am really impressed & will be looking to buy a lighter shade for my finger nails, but this gorgeous plum colour is perfect for my toes!

Goes on smoothly and looks great. Only used one coat. There is a nice range of colours.

I used the deep wine shade and its fantastic! Has a flat brush so great for applying. I would say you need two coats and wait 3-5 mins or so before applying a second coat just to make sure it drys okay.. It does take longer than normal varnish but looks soo glossy and shiny! It's been a week since applied and still no chips, yay!! I totes recommend this! And theres a few other colours to choose! :-)
