I wish I had read the reviews before buying this mascara as I agree it is the worst mascara I have bought. My local Boots could not order my usual mascara as it was out of stock. My eyes are fairly sensitive and I prefer a wand for easy application. The No 7 rep persuaded me to try this mascara and I've used it once. The mascara is thick and nasty and difficult to both put on and remove. An expensive mistake and I shall be wary of using No7 again.

I haven't used No 7 mascara before and was sold on the variety on display in my local store to replace a waterproof Mac mascara which had turned clumpy and was flaking off. This sounded like exactly what I needed. Unfortunately, I agree with many of the other reviewers. The substance is very strange indeed. It's impossible to go over lashes a second time as the brush sticks to them and then clumps lashes together, so it's impossible to create volume.Removal works fine but is messy as the fibres that slide off your lashes stick to your face as much as the cotton wool. I also found fibres had flaked off around my eyes after a shower. It's only suitable for me to wear to work. All in all this is not a very good product and does not perform as claimed. Very disappointed and will not be trying another No 7 mascara to replace it!

I thought this would have a been a brilliant product saving me money on eye make-up remover but i was very disappointed and i love No7 products. I love the small applicator where you can get every single lash but thats where the love of this product ends. It dries far too quickly to be able to build up your lashes then if you try and put another coat on it clumps then you have to wash your entire face to get the thing off as its seems to weld to your lashes! it does have a long lasting effect but leaves you with tiny lashes

I was a little disappointed with this. The gold casing feels quite cheap, although this is reflected in the lower price point. I'm not a fan of the brush - with it's very strangle little prongs. The colour was a nice deep black but I had to put on so many layers it took ages to get a good effect. No smudges during the day but unfortunately not overly impressed. Such a shame as all the other No 7 products are great!!

Bought this product last week. Used today for first time - I wish I hadn't. Worst mascara I have ever purchased. Not a lot of coverage for starters. When I came to take it off oh dear. Does not come off as easy as they say, I tried warm water, hot water, cold water - nothing worked, I started to panic, thought I was going to loose all my lashes. Tried mascara remover, nothing happening. Eventually had to pick it off. Never again. If I had still got the receipt I would have taken it back.

Got this mascara yesterday tried it out last night came straight off, clumped my eyelashes together. All in all not impressed at all £12.50 not well spent at all!! Came off with a big standard make-up wipe too...so all this warm water business is rubbish.

Have always been a fan of No 7 mascara however this mascara is awful. I really wanted to like it but it is difficult to apply and clumps easily. Lashes dry hard so they look spidery and not natural. No volume whatsoever.

Agree that is stays on perfect and does not smudge, but takes a lot longer than my other mascaras to remove and I felt as though I was pulling eyelashes out trying to get the mascara off. Doubt I shall purchase again.

I have been looking for a mascara with a small brush for ages. I have very short eyelashes so was delighted when this product arrived in store. But I am not happy with the long term performance. My mascara usually goes on at 8am. By 5 pm the mascara is flaking, leaving me with specks over my eyes. Then my eyes start to itch. The instructions say to remove with warm water on a cotton wool pad. This is not necessary, there is none left by 6pm. It is a real disappointment.

This mascara spreads nice however it clumps together and rather than rub off it peels off, very strange!
