Well this product seems to be dividing the audience, doesn't it? I really like the greeny gold colour of the pencil, but it is really hard and doesn't glide on at all. In fact trying to use it feels perilously close to gouging your own eyes out! I haven't been able to use it at all. Other pencils from the range have been fine, the blue one's nice, so I don't know if the formulation changed or if there's a sub standard lot. Pity, as I said, the colour's nice.

The camouflage colour is great and goes on well. It is almost the same shade as a green colour discontinued by a rival company. That said, No 7's eye pencil is a NIGHTMARE to sharpen so you end up wasting a lot of it which is environmentally unfriendly and very annoying.. You can never use it right to the end. Boots really needs to do something about this issue. I did not have this problem with other makes.

I love the colours, but I have to reiterate what many other reviewers have mentioned: 1) the inner part keeps breaking off after sharpening (and I use a No7 sharpener); 2) it runs out much sooner than I would expect - halfway down, what is left falls out so it is unusable; 3) the pencil doesn't deposit much colour so I have to go over it a couple of times which drags my eyelids; 4) the smudger is very hard and doesn't blend the colour much at all. I keep on using these eyeliners because of the colours and also I don't react to them (I have very sensitive eyes), but a lot of improvements could be made.

Recently purchased & at once noticed poor pigmentation & that the liner only lasts a few hours before fading. The difficulty with sharpening renders this product useless - I've used more than half of the pencil trying to sharpen it once, it just breaks off inside the sharpener - even when chilled in the fridge first. Complete waste of money.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago - used it until I needed to sharpen it - when I tried the pencil broke in two. The smudger end came off and the pencil would not sharpen at all - in the bin it went. What a waste of money.

I’ve been using No. 7 products for years and really like the quality and choice of products. Within the last year, I’ve bought this eyeliner in both purple and black and have had a reaction, getting itchy, puffy eyelids. I’ve never had any problems before...have the ingredients been changed?? Such a shame as otherwise this product would be great.

I really really love this eyeliner. The colour is lovely (I use camouflage and the black ones). They go on amazingly smoothly and last all day. My only gripe with it is, that when you get down to around the last third of the pencil (and I have used A LOT of them) they all break! It’s like they’ve been chucked around so all the lead bit has broken into a million pieces. I find it so frustrating!!! I know we’re trying to be eco-friendly but I think if it was packaged in a box it might last longer? I couldn’t be anymore careful than I am with it so I assume it must happen in transit?

Have used this product for numerous years but since they changed the ingredients my eyes sting and water and end up bloodshot and unbearable. Would not recommend.

This is the only pencil I have ever used which doesn't run or congeal in the corners of my eyes. It blends beautifully (I use as an eyeliner) and stays put. I don't understand the negative reviews about sharpening it - I use a regular sharpener with no problems (I would suggest don't over-sharpen). Can't recommend highly enough.

This is a very good eyeliner. It is very easy to apply as it is nice and soft and glides along. I am very impressed by the quality and it blends well.
