I love the colour of this eye pencil (blue). It is easy to apply and lasts. However.... I agree with many of the other reviewers about the packaging. It is a pencil. You do have to sharpen it (often!) . Please Boots (No. 7) make this lovely pencil in packaging that doesn't need sharpening! It spoils what is other wise a great product.

Bought 2 of these 3 weeks ago on advice of No 7 assistant who showed me how to use eye make up as hardly use eye makeup other than mascara, she said th eye pencils were really easy to use. I am 67 and have used both only couple of times at weekend . They are absolutely useless gone totally flat after 2nd use absolute waste of money will be taking back if can find receipt.

I bought this for my holiday and it is very expensive. It is a complete waste of money. It looks like it is a propelling pencil but it is not and the wood is far too hard for a sharpener. If you try the end jus breaks off each time. It lasted less than a week. I will take it back if I can find the receipt.

I bought this product in good faith, believing it would work like most products of this nature, in that you twisted the pencil and more product appeared. But no, just a tiny amount is visible when you purchase it, and this is all you get!

I bought the metallic blue and really love the colour. The pencil is very soft and glides on easily without dragging the eyelid. I don't think it lends itself to fine lining though as the point will not remain sharp. This was no problem for me as I prefer a softer, smudged line. I would say that the blending end just seemed to rub the product off again so I haven't bothered with it. I found I could sharpen the pencil reasonably easily but due to the softness of the point I imagine I will get through it quite quickly. Overall a nice product.

Bought this less then a week ago colour lovely, but end flattened after 3rd use , and can’t sharpen it !!! Put it in my handbag to return to store but smudge end broke off ..............

Smudger is a waste of time and the product does not go on smoothly. A shame because the colours are lovely.

I used to be an avid fan of this eyeliner in the black shade, it used to glide on like silk and was very easy to apply, had staying power, gave a nice line and looked amazing. I purchased it recently and the formula has obviously changed. I have managed to waste half the pencil just by sharpening it as it keeps breaking (the sharpener is brilliant on all my other pencils so its not the sharpener), it pulls your skin when applying so it does not leave a nice straight line and you have to go over the line a few times to get it to show nicely. Also the smudger broke off way too easily and it did not do previously. I have since bought the Barry M Bold Waterproof Eyeliner in gunmetal and it is AMAZING and does what this pencil used to do at half the price.

Beautiful product. I bought a couple of colours. I initially found the green/khaki one difficult to apply, but discovered that if I applied it to a lightly moisturised eyelid it went on smoothly. I then add powder & it stays put all day.

Sadly I would not buy this eyeliner again and have thrown it away before it is finished. The reason being, I found it quite hard to get a narrow tip on the crayon so the line was always too thick for what I wanted. The smudger doesn't really do anything. The colour is nice (blackest which is a dark grey metallic) but I just couldn't get on with the applicator. It was also took several days to get it fully removed despite a variety of cleansers.
