Brilliant soft pencil.So easy to use and smudges to blend. The No 7 lady told me her secret of doing eyes. She demonstrated on me. She was really helpful.

Metallic is not too obvious but lovely and soft, doesn't smudge too much. Really like this.

Just the colour I was after. I had been looking for this shade of blue. Would like it a bit heavier to apply but goes on smoothly.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago - used it until I needed to sharpen it - when I tried the pencil broke in two. The smudger end came off and the pencil would not sharpen at all - in the bin it went. What a waste of money.

The camouflage colour is great and goes on well. It is almost the same shade as a green colour discontinued by a rival company. That said, No 7's eye pencil is a NIGHTMARE to sharpen so you end up wasting a lot of it which is environmentally unfriendly and very annoying.. You can never use it right to the end. Boots really needs to do something about this issue. I did not have this problem with other makes.

No 7 is one of the few companies that does a green eye pencil. I absolutely love the colour but now that the tip has gone flat I find it impossible to sharpen, it just breaks.

This is the only pencil I have ever used which doesn't run or congeal in the corners of my eyes. It blends beautifully (I use as an eyeliner) and stays put. I don't understand the negative reviews about sharpening it - I use a regular sharpener with no problems (I would suggest don't over-sharpen). Can't recommend highly enough.

I bought this a couple of months ago after ignoring the poor reviews. Silly me. Other reviews warn that it is impossible to sharpen this pencil. Me being me automatically decided that everyone else was sharpening their pencil wrong or with a poor sharpener. Well more fool me. The pencil is impossible to sharpen. One twist... all good but not sharp enough... two twists... lead breaks. Try again... same result... repeat, repeat, repeat. End result is that I’ve bought a single use eye pencil that is a complete waste of money. Very disappointing when the reviews are fairly consistent that Boots haven’t made a change.

I love the colours, but I have to reiterate what many other reviewers have mentioned: 1) the inner part keeps breaking off after sharpening (and I use a No7 sharpener); 2) it runs out much sooner than I would expect - halfway down, what is left falls out so it is unusable; 3) the pencil doesn't deposit much colour so I have to go over it a couple of times which drags my eyelids; 4) the smudger is very hard and doesn't blend the colour much at all. I keep on using these eyeliners because of the colours and also I don't react to them (I have very sensitive eyes), but a lot of improvements could be made.
