I am really pale and bought this to glow before my holiday. It has taken me 3 applications to get a satisfactory colour which I expected. First application smelt awful but second and third did not smell as bad. A bit more expensive than Dove but a very nice brown glow rather than a yellowish colour. Nice colour for my holiday and skin is hydrated.

I used this through my summer- i became evenly tanned, and not orangey in any way. I was even asked if i had gone on holiday (which i hadn't) by my nearly blind grandma who said 'You look so healthy, have you caught some sunshine?' Really pleased- Good price too.

not sure about the smell! I have been using it for about a week and I love the colour - it looks really natural. However, my husband comments on the smell every morning when I apply it after a shower. This morning the smell was really overpowering while travelling on a hot underground train - everyone around me kept sniffing! (I had a short sleeved top on so my arms were exposed.) It was so bad I almost got off the train - the only thing that stopped my was having to squeeze past everyone to get to the door and then they would definitely know it was me. I waited until my stop where everyone gets off! I will use it in future but maybe only on my legs and I will find another product for my upperbody. Such a shame as the colour is really natural.

I am amazed how long this product has been available, judging from the reviews. I have been self-tanning for decades and found this one about two years now. It is brilliant, a gentle natural tan, I have the light one. It's great to top up a natural tan, and ideal if I feel "pasty" in the winter. As I am over 70, it also helps to keep my skin moist and soft, especially if I gently exfoliate beforehand.

I have used this product twice and I can already see a difference. I am quite pale, but was surprised by how quickly I could see a colour. It is a nice tan colour, a little orange for my skin but it still looks natural. It came out a little patchy after the first use, but seems to have started to even out now. The smell is non-offensive. A little goes a long way & I think the bottle will last a while. The main issue I have is that it takes quite a while to soak into your skin, which is possibly the reason for the patchiness as this has appeared in skin-on-skin areas. However, I will keep using it.

I've used this for a few years now. Recently purchased a new bottle and the 'fake tan' smell is quite overwhelming. It's all I can smell throughout the day and my clothes stink. Quite unpleasant. No 7 - have you changed the ingredients recently?! Such a shame, as this WAS my go-to gradual tan. The smell is so unpleasant I'm not sure I can use it.

Have used this product for three year and it does just as it says. A natural, light tan from a lotion as easy to apply as a daily after shower moisturiser.

I have been using fake tax for years, I have pale skin with freckles and red hair so finding one that does not look weird is a challenge and I have used every single brand you can think of. Normally I use Fake Bake which i'm happy with but I wanted to go with a lighter colour for day tp day use. The No7 gradual tan was easy to use, you will need to let it dry for a bit and despite what they say on the package it does smell of developer so I would use it in the night for a stay at home pamper night shower it off in the morning. The colour for me is great no streaks and my hands do not look odd like they do with most other brands, however if your skin was a bit darker to start with you may need a couple of layers, I think 2 layers for me will give the colour I want with a top up every few days. Worth £10 for the fairer skinned.
