I'm so glad I'm not the only one disappointed with this pencil and wishing I'd stockpiled the old one. Why they changed it I don't know but it's truly awful! The new one snaps easily, irritates my eyes, doesn't apply easy and does not last as it needs constant sharpening. It just looks and feels like a really cheap pencil. Which it isn't! I'm just after writing a passionate letter to No. 7 at Boots and have referred them to the reviews page. Yes I have a life haha! But I'm a live musician and use eyeliner on a daily basis. This was my favourite pencil of all time and I did get compliments on it, and recommended it to loads of people. I really am genuinely upset that they've stopped it. I urge you all to write and implore them to bring back the old one :) Not only was it better quality but it looked better too. The gold was lovely and made it look really stylish. Won't be buying again for sure and don't know what to use when my stash of the older ones runs out? Will need to start the tedious and money consuming process of finding the right pencil again!

Great liner pencil. Glides along without having to redraw. It would have been a greater success if it didn't need a sharpner !

Instead of buying a cheap eyeliner, I decided to spend a little more to get a better product, instead it leaves dark smudges around your eyes like a cheap eyeliner. Waste of money!

The eyeliner goes on easily but doesn't stay in place, the first time I wore it on top and bottom lids I ended up with smudges under both eyes. I tried using it again just to line the top lids and within 2 hrs it had smudged. This is supposed to be waterproof but smudges withoutbeven coming into contact with water

This is honestly the best eyeliner I have ever bought. It really does stay put and is very easy to apply as it glides on.

Bought this in green and had high hopes for it as I always use stay perfect lipstick. It is soft and goes on well at first but is very hard to sharpen and you end up losing a lot of the pencil this way. Didn't last long. Will be going back to cheaper brand

I’m so glad I bought this when it was on offer and not bought it at full price, was ok when first used, nice colour and went on easily but then I had to sharpen it. Like most of the other reviewsi found it impossible to sharpen it seems to be made fromplasticand when you feel like you’re getting somewhere the end breaks off, it’s now just fit for the bin

I have only ever had one previous No7 beauty product which i was very underwhelmed with, so was very skeptical when i was given one of these Stay perfect amazing eye pencils, i was so pleasantly suprised :) I am the kind of girl who wears eyeliner day in, day out ... i have tried alot of eyeliners! The staying power on this is great, I applied it at 6.30am yesterday and once i had finished work at 5pm it only needed a slight touch up to continue looking fresh, the only (downside!?) is when i try to take it off with my usually amazing make up remover it does require a lot of scrubbing so my eyes hurt >_< but overall a brilliant product which has restored my faith in No7, will buy again no hesitation

Very easy to apply. Leaves nice even line that can be smudged to give softer look. Stays put for few hours easy to remove with eye make up remover.

Oh No7... I really would expect so much more... I've never used this eyeliner previously so I cannot comment on the previous formula like other reviews. However I have recently been trying a few to see which might be best for me, given that it is a product I use daily. No7 'Amazing' Eyes Pencil? The worst quality yet and definitely not one of the cheapest. It's really difficult to get it to draw on your hand, never mind on your delicate eye! The pencil just seems far to 'hard' and when you try and use the smudge tool it seems to make it almost chip and break away - not attractive! I'm really quite shocked that No7 don't test their products before launch as there is no way that anyone would have rated this. I'll be far more doubtful about any future product purchases now which is a shame as I always thought they were a brand I could rely on...
