This eyeliner goes on really smooth and a good strong colour (I got black) - however, it smudges far too easily and I often realise it's half way under my eye!

This is the second pencil I've bought in the no 7 range and I'm impressed with the easy application. I chose the deep green and it is such a rich colour and it lasted all day. What more do you want?

The reasons I have always bought this pencil are - 1. The staying power 2. The colour 3. The precision 4. Little sponge tip attached to the pencil When the Boots assistant informed me that the product had changed and was now softer, I was sceptical. For me, the product was spot on as it was and softer to me means less staying power. However, I thought I would give it a go - unfortunately, this pencil does not work for me at all now. This product does not resemble the previous one and is now more of a khol/kajal pencil. 1. The consistency is different - has little staying power 2. The colour Brown now appears darker, more of a black, possibly due to it being more gel like. 3. The precision is also not as good because it is softer. 4. Lastly the lovely useful little sponge has gone. I am not sure if the other reviews are about the new or the old product. Please, please bring back the old product even if you have to call it something else. I have already purchased other pencils but they do not match the quality of this pencil (in it's old form) and I will carry on using my little stub in the vain hope that there are other negative reviews and that maybe you will take notice and bring back the Stay Perfect, Amazing Eyes Pencil that for me completely lived up to it's name.

I bought this eyeliner after my regular one was out of stock. I won't buy it again! The bit you apply to your lid is so soft and creamy, that it is like trying to sharpen butter, even when it has been in the freezer overnight. The casing is too hard, making sharpening even more tricky, and appears to be plastic (less environmentally friendly than wood). I did buy a new eyeliner sharpener, which made the job slightly easier, but the eyeliner actually wears off really quickly, even when the weather is not particularly hot, so needs frequent reapplication. A big waste of money in my opinion.

I have only been using this product for two days, I have sensitive eyes and have not found a soft eye pencil that is okay with my eyes. The product is easy to apply, and gives a perfect finish on the eyes.

purchased this yesterday and decided to try it this morning. I found it just didn't work so i sharpened it and it still would not work. Had to scrub it on the back of my hand to get a result. Wasn't going to to that to my eyes so took it back and got a refund. Do NOT buy!!!!!!

I am so upset that Boots have changed the formulas of several no 7 make up items including these pencils. I have been faithfully using these for years, the black was fabulous for evening intense and long lasting and the blue grey made my eyes pop like sapphires! Now?!! Oh my god I couldn't believe how bad this product is. Scraped my eyelid, unblendable, poor pigments and the colours are different. I still have some of the old pencils and if I'd known they were being discontinued I would have stockpiled. I am also unhappy with the tinted moisturiser formula change. Why change products that people love?

The crayon is too hard. I've tried sharpening it, wiping the surface off - anything I can think of but it is OK when tried on my hand but in the delicate eye area it is completely useless. Hard and dry from day one. It won't smudge and leaves bits. So upset. The foam tip on the other end is lovely but I had to buy another eyeliner in another brand.

It's a bit silly to be gutted about the loss of an eye pencil but I am - I loved the last version, so easy to use, looked so lovely, always got compliments when I wore it..but this is just..horrible. Please bring the old one back!

Appalling quality pencil. Will not sharpen with any sharpener or blade or Sharpe knife. The actual product completely comes out of the surrounding part. Unusable after the original point has been used. Returned and second pencil was just as hopeless.
