No 7 has recently changed their products and packaging and none of it is for the good as far as i can see - for example I used to love this eyeliner - it always went on smoothly and looked fab but now it hardly makes a difference on my eyes - i went back to the store and was told by the consultant that alot of people had made the same coment to her. i bought a cheap one from another brand which i will now be using instead.

I too bought 3 of these, the pencil is too hard to use, pulls the delicate skin around the eye and doesn't give a good finish. Luckily I found a few of the old ones in my cupboard so I'm using them until I can find a different brand that has a softer kohl like finish. I see all the negative reviews here - Boots please take note and bring back the orginal product please.

The brown colour is great, darker than a normal brown but softer than a harsh black, it goes on smoothly, smudges nicely if you want that effect, comes off with normal eye make up remover BUT once you need to sharpen it you will lose so much of the pencil that the wastage makes it almost as expensive as the high end branded products....

Alway wear brown eyeliner and though I would give no7 a go. Was very disappointed as it goes on very black even though I bought brown. Was hard to keep a point on it as it is a very soft liner and everytime I sharpened it the tip was breaking of or just going blunt. Wouldn't buy again in afraid

different formula - same colour name but not nearly as soft as old version which I have used since it first came out, returned for a credit. have found a similar one GRAPHITE in Estee Lauder range which is virtually the same as the old version so am satisfird but it is much more expensive. Am really disappointed at this change. Why do this when it did not need to be . C.Symons

The old version of this in Brown is my absolute favourite. The colour was perfect, not too red, not too grey. The texture was great, much better than many high-end products. I can't believe such a great product has been discontinued. If the manufacturing cost becomes too high, then raise the price! Don't change the formula because of that!!!! Bring the old version back pleaseeee!!!!!

I really wanted to rate this product with no stars as it is absolute rubbish but 1 star it had to be.... I got this eye pencil using a £5 voucher from No. 7 and I am so glad I didn’t pay full price for it. It is the worst eye pencil I have ever used. It is far too soft and you need to sharpen it EVERY time you use it as the end breaks off when you using it. Don’t waste your money on this; buy a No. 17 eye pencil instead – half the price and lasts twice as long!

I was very disappointed with this pencil. It was much too hard to use on the delicate eye lid. Not fit for the purpose it was designed to do. I always thought No 7 done quality products, but now I'm not so sure.

I bought this eye pencil a few weeks ago. And as all the no 7 products are that I use it really is the best one I have used. It glides on so easily and stays put all day and does not smudge. I can not not fault it. As for a problem over sharpening. I had no problem at all. The answer is to use a sharpener especially for eye pencils not any old pencil sharpener.

Second one I’ve bought and always the same frustration - and thrown each one away. A complete waste of money as it won’t sharpen with an ordinary eye pencil sharpener. Now I’ve just read you’re supposed to buy No.7’s ‘own special sharpener’ - what a con!!! It’s not mentioned anywhere when you order the eye pencil - WHY. Shame on you No 7 I’ll not be buying from you in future.
