Lovely pencil, gives good results BUT it can't be sharpened & therefore doesn't last long. Looking at previous reviews, this issue has been going on for YEARS but it seems Boots have not resolved it & continue to sell the product! Poor show Boots!

I bought this about a week ago, in place of another brand which does stay perfect, only to be very disappointed. Half way through my day I was wondering why it looked like I was wearing blue eyeshadow in the crease of my eye and in my upper lid. Turns out it's the not so stay perfect eyeliner rubbing off. A waste of money for me and wouldn't recommend.

I bought the No7 Amazing eye pencil before and I absolutely loved it, so when I needed another one I had no hesitation about buying it, but I couldn't find the exact one and I noticed this one which had the name perfect added. So I went ahead and bought it. Big mistake! This pencil scores your eyes and it really hurts. It does not sharpen well at all,. The lead keeps breaking and the wood remains jaggy! Absolutely a waste of money! Will not be buying this pencil again, nor will I be recommending it to a friend! Bring back the original!!

Every time i need to use this it needs sharpening, do not touch it!!! Complete waste of time and money

Hasn't lasted very long as it doesn't sharpen properly. Wood casing very harsh and I scratched my eyelid several times. The actual liner doesn't sharpen to point, it just forms a large blob and breaks off, so I have to sharpen it again. The pencil fits neither a standard sharpener nor a large one. No doubt I was expected to buy a No7 one at extra expense, which would make it a very expensive eyeliner. Also, it doesn't stay on lid , even though I have stopped using any cream on my eyes in the day. Haven't had to do that with other liners. Very poor standard- I expected much much better of No 7!

i don't usually write reviews but felt this one needed doing! I used to use this product everyday and bought again multiple times, it was great. Since then i used a different brand but thought i'd go back to no7 because i remember how good it was. What a mistake! I only bought it yesterday and i tried it this morning, and literally no colour came off the pencil whatsoever. With eyeliner, you want a couple of strokes and it to be done. With this one, i spent about 5 mins trying to make it work! There is still barely any colour there (i have the black one) and i'm taking it back on tuesday! Really disappointed, this has made me think again about no7. I'm glad i'm not alone on this, reading through the reviews it seems everyone is having the same trouble. The thing that I find strange is that surely they must have tested it before they started to manufacturer/sell it? Surely they must know how bad it is!?

As with some of the previous reviewers I would like to give this 0 stars if it were possible. This used to be my favorite eyeliner, I've been a fan for years and have recommended it to many friends. Why oh why did you feel the need to totally change it. The wonder of this eye liner was that it was so easy to apply, without that much pressure on the eye lid and I never had any trouble with its staying power - so why the need to make it into some super stay product? The trouble is that in doing so, it has now become so hard I actually struggled to get any eyeliner on my eye without pulling my eyelid in all sorts of strange uncomfortable directions. This then meant it was impossible to actually draw a sensible line, with any shape, which meant I just had to give up. I'm not just a grumpy customer that doesn't like change, I'm afraid I would have to go as far as to say that this is now the worst eye liner I have ever used!! So disappointed, I will be returning it as soon as possible. If there are any of the old ones around then I'll see if I can grab as many as possible - otherwise I'm off to find a nice soft eyeliner.

What on earth has happened to No 7 eye pencil. I have always used these eye pencils with great success, but the last one I bought was useless. I had to press really hard to get anything out of it at all and when I did the colour was hardly there, and I was left with soar eyes. The skin on and around our eyes is paper thin and needs the gentle touch. I returned my eye pencil to Boots and the assistant nodded knowingly as if she had heard it all before. Please don't let No 7 slip I use many of the products and have always been pleased. Hopefully this was just a faulty batch and the problem will be sorted. Meanwhile I will have to go elsewhere for now.

This eyeliner has a really nice formula! Glides on easily and neatly, doesn't smudge (unless you want it to of course) and stays put all day. Unfortunately the mechanism to extend the "pencil" once it's become blunt didn't work on mine and so I was only able to use it a couple times. Pretty expensive eyeliner for something that doesn't work properly .... but maybe I just got a broken one.

As many other reviewers have stated, what was previousy a brilliant product which I have used and loved for years, has been changed and ruined. Please, please bring back the old formula, I dont know what I'll do otherwise.
