I wish it would Stay Perfect, I can't even get it on to my skin, it just doesn't work at all. I have pressed really hard and there is nothing there, it will come off on my hand if I press incredibly hard but nothing on my eyes at all. What a waste of money, not fit for purpose. I am very surprised that Boots have put this on the market, on whom did they test I wonder ?

Like so many of the recent reviewers, I have to agree that this product has been totally changed by Boots and is now awful. It used to just glide on and then you could smudge and blend it in as required. It's now hard and dry. It's impossible to apply without having to press so hard that you hurt your eye. Even when you do press hard, you can barely see the colour! I've taken one eye pencil back and asked for an exchange as I thought it may have been a one off. However, the replacement one is just as bad and, coming onto this site, I see I'm not the only user who feels the same. I'm going to take it back for a refund and look for a new brand of eyeliner. I'm gutted as I've used No 7 Stay Perfect eyeliners for years. Boots - please please please listen to your customers' feedback and go back to the old version of your eyeliners!

I have used the old version of this pencil for years and loved the application and intense colour. I have the grey and black ones. This new pencil has a waxy translucent texture and deposits a pale version of the colour, even after pressing quite hard. I haven't found it sting or scratchy like other reviews here, but it's nothing like it used to be, it's now quite useless, and if it stays like this I certainly won't be buying it again. Read the reviews boots and change it back!!!

I have used number 7 eye pencils for some years and have always been very pleased with the results. However, this time I have been disappointed because it is not as smooth to apply and barely shows up when applied. I don't like heavy eye liners, but I do like to see, when I have applied the pencil, that I have put it on. I don't know if there has been a change to this product, but it is just not as good or as smooth as it has been in the past and I will not be using it again.

This is my 2nd navy pencil I have bought, hoping the first one was a one off poor colour ,but unfortunately the 2nd is exactly the same .Instead of navy it resembles a grey colour .Very disappointed as I already have the charcoal pencil ,the navy and charcoal look the same when on the skin.

I've used this in brown for many years. It does seem to have shrunk in length over the years but still lasts for a few months of daily use. Good range of colours.

I've been buying this eyeliner for over 10 years and they've suddenly changed it for the worse. It's softer than it was (it was already very soft) and this means you have to sharpen it after every two applications. it used to last ages- I've only had this for 2 weeks and it's gone down so much I can see it won't last long. Maybe the team at No 7 think that that means they'll sell twice as many, but they've misjudged this-I won't be buying this again- I'll just get my eyeliner from Benefit instead.

Only used it for 1 week & no nib left do I use a pencil sharpener it will this damage the product

I bought this pencil as it looks like a propelling pencil. It worked well until it wore down. The bottom twists as if it is a propelling pencil but nothing happened to move the color up. I returned to the shop where the assistants were rude and told me I had to sharpen it “as its a pencil” . I have read the reviews which say it is impossible to sharpen. I want a refund.

I bought this eyeliner and was disappointed to receive it completely blunt with the actual end of the pencil completely broken off when I opened it. I took the item back to one of the Boots stores where I was able to exchange it for another one, however when I opened the new one and used it, the end of the pencil broke instantly! I didn’t press it hard at all when I used the pencil so they obviously aren’t very strong and probably don’t last long... disappointing as I usually love No7 products.
