Protect & Perfect Intense ADVANCED Facial Suncare SPF50+ 50ml

I have been using this under my makeup while its been super hot sun.It doesn't leave my face greasy,which i worry about as i have combination skin.It applied nicely & formed a good base for my foundation.Overall this is a great spf & i know my face is being protected aswell as feeling moisturised & soft.

In theory this is a great sunscreen - non greasy, easily absorbed and supposed gives really good protection. What's not to love, right? But take a look at the instructions on the back in more detail: They recommend reapplying this every 1-2 hours, (which I'm guessing if you are at work involves removing all make up, putting this on, then reapplying make up every 1-2 hours!) and here's the kicker - they suggest "generous" application for maximum protection (with no explanation as to what "generous" entails) and then say there are 20 applications in this bottle! Well, first of all, I apply "generously" every day and this bottle has lasted me a good 6 weeks so far. But think about it - reapplying lets say every 1 1/2 hours, even if that was practical, so let's say 4 times a day during the hours of sunlight. This bottle will last you 5 days. At 14.50. 30 days in a month. So you will need 6 bottles a month of this stuff at 14.50 x 6 = almost 90 quid a month spent on sunscreen! So there is the get out clause: yes this stuff may work, as long as you marinade yourself in it liberally every hour on the hour and blow 90 a month on it. That's just ridiculous! Come on Boots - can't you come up with something more practical than this?!

I bought this spring 2017 and have used all throughout the summer. It's great for sun protection, but also super as a BB skin. I don't wear foundation every day, and found this product worked really well on my skin, I got lots of compliments on my make up when in fact this was all I had on. Will definitely purchase again.

Used this whilst in New Zealand for 2 months. I don't tan easily so always look pale but this was both an effective sunscreen and gave me a bit of coverage too so I didn't look too washed out

This product would be perfect if it didn't, like loads of other No7 products, contain parabens. Get with the beat BOOTS - get the parabens out of your products. I would like to keep using this, but am trying to find an alternative (there aren't many, especially at this value price) because, having had breast cancer, I am trying to avoid parabens.

Light, non greasy, easily absorbed and provides a nice even colour to my face. I am quite olive skinned in the body so needed something to even out the colour in my face. I’d had a terrible facial skin reaction recently with blistering and skin flakiness. Exposing my face to the sun is a complete no no now. This not only gave me confidence to camouflage the worst of the infection but I swear it also had a lot to do with the rapid healing process. My skin has never looked so good, I now wear this everyday and am reaping the benefits. I am so happy with the results. Do not hesitate to buy, I never write reviews but I want to shout from the roof tops how brilliant this product is. Forget the rest, this is the best. Bought this just before a holiday without testing it first. Big mistake. This might be ok for you if you have dry skin but I found it way too thick. I have combination skin and this made my skin feel super greasy and made me break out really bad. I probably used far less than the recommended amount because it was just so unpleasant to use and made my skin really shiny and oily. If I'd used the full amount I would have looked like a turkey on Christmas. Definitely no good under make up. Glad I bought this while it was on offer because it is not worth the money. Sadly I was stuck with this for the whole holiday and my skin is still recovering a week after I got back.

I have been wearing this everyday for 2 months now and I've noticed my entire face has evened out and any breakouts are less often. It appears to have also hekped with some hyperpigmentation. Works great under make up. My only complaint is I wish there was a bigger sized bottle.

Whilst this offers excellent sun protection against burning (SPF 50) and tanning (UVA 5*) and contains anti-aging ingredients making this a multifunction product, the formulation leaves a lot to be desired. I would expect a facial sun cream to be easily absorbed, light and matte. This is none of those things when applied at the recommended dosage. The package recommends 2.5ml for each application, which is above the recommendation of the WHO (1.25ml - or a quarter of a teaspoon). It is a thick creamy paste that requires some vigorous rubbing before it is absorbed. It leaves a very faint white cast that does fully disappear in about 30 mins. It leaves the skin looking very shiny immediately after application with a heavy, sticky and tacky feeling on the skin - it feels having honey smeared on your face. It feels very smothering, and if you're oil prone you will look like an oil slick after an hour's wear. This must be re-applied after 1.5hrs of sun exposure otherwise you'll burn/colour. I found i had to wash the old product off first before reapplying otherwise the product would ball/pill on reapplication. It is not very good value for money with each bottle good for only 20 applications (as stated on the bottle). I would avoid this. I ended up using the bottle on my body because it was just too uncomfortable and inconvenient for the face.

I have been using this cream for quite a long time now and I love it. Please don't alter the ingredients in any way as this is the best suncare product that I have found on the market which I use as a moisturising cream every day to protect my sking from the sun.
