Your everyday face wash is great at removing impurities like dirt and oil. But it won't shift heavy-duty debris, like the dull skin cells that sit on the surface of your skin.
This invigorating scrub has been created by our skincare experts to clean that bit deeper, lifting away dead skin cells and helping clear pores. The result - fresher, smoother skin and a closer shave.
Volume: 150ml
For Best Results: Lather over your face and massage gently. How often you use this scrub depends on your skin type. As a guide, try using it once a week if your skin is sensitive and every 3 days if its oily. If your skin feels tight or dry afterwards, replace lost moisture with your favourite No7 for Men moisturiser.
Aqua (Water), Sodium laureth sulfate, Cocamidopropyl betaine, PEG-7 glyceryl cocoate, Sodium chloride, Phenoxyethanol, Parfum, Panthenol, PEG-120 methyl glucose dioleate, Polyquaternium-10, Potassium sorbate, Citric acid, Tetrasodium EDTA, Disodium phosphate, Dipropylene glycol, Sodium hydroxide, Sodium acetate, Isopropyl alcohol, Tocopherol.

Does the job
I have been using this for two weeks after using the Oil Control Facewash, which was not good at all. This does exactly what it says on the tin. If you use it properly like the instructions say it doesn't dry out your skin at all. Lather up between your hands first, then wash for about 30 seconds. Great stuff. Have left off one star as other products, Lab Series, seems to do something more to your skin. This product just cleans. No mess, no fuss. At this price point it is incredible value.

Best On The Market
I have used this face wash for three and a half years since it came out around July 2010 and having tried many others, regard this as the best on the market by a mile. It is a clear liquid, lathers up ok, and gives a very deep clean. You can visibly see the difference after a wash and it feels so refreshing after washing with it. Importantly for me it is very kind on sensitive skin, as the product says. ( No red rashes with this one, unlike many other face washes). Also it is great at killing spots. (This "energising" face wash is the exact same stuff as the previous "wake-up" face wash from Boots, just rebranded, I've checked against my old tube and the ingredients are exactly the same). Have not tried the new "oil control" wash as this "energising" one is so good. I strongly advise anyone with sensitive skin, or even for those who haven't, to give this a go. It is high quality and worth the few pounds more than some competitors. Having spent lots of money on face-washes, this one remains THE market leader in my view. Excellent product.

Excellent
I bought this as I wanted more of a scrub range in my bathroom... I've only used it once so far and it does work, I used this in combination with the No7 energizing moisturizer, which works well... I like this, it has a nice scent, and always gives me a squeaky clean feel on my face! It's not too rough like some scrubs can be and seriously irritate your skin but this one isn't too gentle nor too rough, which is ideal for me!

If only its instructions were as good as the product
I was given some No7 Energising Face Wash and being a newcomer to this type of product I did not know how to use it, e.g. do you put it on before you shave or after you shave. I do not think the instructions advise this, but it should, it’s pretty fundamental information for a man. It is difficult as the instructions are so small they are virtually illegible. It gives the impression that other reviews are by Boots staff, as they keep referring to 'read instructions' that you cannot read, so the other reports must be by people with privileged information.. Whether the product is any good I cannot comment till I am sure I have used it as intended. THis applies to other products in the range which I was gifted.

I don't get the bad reviews
I don't quite get how anyone can give this bad reviews. it is very good value, it lasts what seems an eternity, it's always on offer, and it leaves skin feeling wonderful. I take the point that the packaging is disgusting, I much prefered the old style packaging, Boots men don't always have to have Black, grey and chunky packaging :-)

A safe product but far to expensive for what it puuports to deliver.
I can only say it is an OK product to use. I think at the price it is too expensive for something ordinary. It's the No 7 branding methinks.

Cynical re-packaging
I was happy with my regular face wash - Boots Botanics Normal Face Wash, but it appears that this has been discontinued and replaced with this significantly more expensive product. This is particularly annoying as I only switched to Boots own brand after Nivea changed the formulation of my previous favourite face wash product. When will companies realise we don't like being messed around like this!!!
