Easy to apply

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

Boots.com review Have been using the No7 Pure Retinol Action Day Cream Duo for about 3 weeks and really like it. It comes in a uniquely designed pot split into 2 for each of the products. The Retinol & vit C and cream applies really easily and leaves my skin feeling very smooth. Yes you do need to wait for it to soak in but I use that time to brush my teeth. Once this is soaked in you apply the SPF on top. What I like is the fact you get the 2 in one and it covers all aspects of a Daily moisturiser, serum and SPF. Although the lid is labelled with step 1 and step 2 it could be made clearer but I didn’t have a problem remembering which cream to apply first. My skin feels softer, looks brighter and is well protected.

Pleasantly surprised

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

Boots.com review I've been using the No7 Pure Retinol Triple Action Day Cream Duo for around three weeks. Since I've never tried retinol before and my skin can be sensitive, I was worried about a reaction. Surprisingly, my skin loves it—it moisturizes effectively without feeling sticky. I wait about five minutes before applying SPF, and it doesn't leave my skin greasy. While it's a bit early to notice changes in lines, my skin feels smooth and silky. The only downside is the product isn’t labelled as to which is which, so you have to guess! The packaging details are quite small too.

Great new skincare product

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

Boots.com review This is a clever product that provides the benefit of retinol but comes with the separate compartment of SPF cream . I am always a bit wary of products with inbuilt SPF so I often put an independent SPF on . However with this product I don’t feel the need to . I found the retinol cream light and easily absorbed, the SPF a little less so . I agree with comments re need for better labelling of which compartment is which . My skin does feel brighter , smoother and I will keep using it .

Need to look at font size

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

Boots.com review Being viaually umpaired K found the labeling hard to read and also the box with the instructions hard as well the cream was very nice to feel and put on my skin and the smell was also very nice as well but I think boots and No.7 needs to look at changing their labeling so it's better to read for visually impaired people.

Tremdous Stuff!

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

Boots.com review Tremendous stuff here from No 7. I really like that the pot contains two separate products, both of which are easy to apply. First you apply the retinol and vitamin C moisturiser which is wonderfully light and almost gel-like. It sinks in beautifully and leaves your face feeling silky smooth. Once it's sunk in, you then apply the separate SPF30 cream which, of course, is essential if you're applying any retinol to your face in the daytime. The SPF isn't as light as the moisturiser, but it does sink in fairly quickly leaving your skin feeling silky smooth again. Having applied this every morning for the last month, I have noticed my skin look brighter and fresher. I've noticed that a fellow male reviewer has bizarrely claimed that this product is "probably not aimed at men" but as a bald man who has always applied a separate SPF after moisturising, I couldn't disagree more. The overall results in my view are highly impressive and the two creams in the one pot concept really is a very practical one.

Wonderful face product

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

Boots.com review This is a lovely product which I will definitely be adding to my daily moisturising regime. The first step is to use the retinol and vitamin C cream which my skin tolerated very well. Once this is well absorbed the SPF moisturiser should be added to the face. After using this product for 3 weeks my skin feels ultra soft, looks bright and feels well moisturised. My only criticism would be that on days when I'm in a hurry, its a little inconvenient waiting for the retinol/vitamin C to be fully aborbed before adding the SPF moisturiser. Despite this I would definitely recommend this Boots No 7 product and will continue to use.

Nice product but unclear marking on containers

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

Boots.com review I liked this product very much. Nice texture and scent. However I thought the two separate containers could have been marked more clearly. It is not clear which is retinol vitamin C and which is SPF

Great results!

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

Boots.com review This is a great invention, I like that it contains retinol, vitamin C and SPF30. However, it is not an all in one cream. Firstly, you have to apply the retinol and vitamin C cream, then you need to wait 5-10 minutes for this to absorb before applying the SPF cream on top. So, I can imagine people who are running late/in a rush would probably skip the second cream, the SPF, which is the most important cream of the day. I have been using this product every morning for almost a month, and the results of using this product have been fantastic. My crows feet have improved significantly, much less visible. My skin feels more smoother and looks radiant. The product doesn't feel heavy on my skin, nor does it look greasy, and despite it containing retinol, I have had no sensitivity after using this product. My skin also doesn't feel dry at all, it feels nicely moisturised all day long.

Does what it says

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

Boots.com review I gave this 4 stars because it does what it advertised to do. However, I do not like the idea or the effect of flakey skin. Much prefer to use exfoliating gloves.

An effective retinol cream but a bit fiddly to use

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

Boots.com review The yellow moisturising part of this product glided on smoothly, left my skin feeling hydrated and caused no adverse reactions. I wasn't such a fan of having to apply the white SPF afterwards, but I can understand why it is needed to protect the skin from damaging UV light. However, the SPF felt thick and did not glide that well and left me feeling like I was wearing a greasy mask. It was also a nuisance having to stand in the bathroom and wait for the retinol cream to dry before applying the SPF (as instructed) as I am usually in a hurry and like to moisturise and go. I occasionally found that I would get distracted in this time and then forget to apply the SPF. Due to the dual application of the product it was hard to know if I was getting the ratio right, also because of the half and half container there was some cross-over as the SPF started to spill over into the retinol cream. Overall I would recommend this product for someone looking for an effective retinol cream but just advise that it is a bit more fiddly to use then your average moisturiser.
