This is just lovely. I was amazed how perfect my skin looked halfway through the morning when i nipped to the bathroom and got a pleasant suprise looking in mirror. Pores and fine lines were smoothed and my skin looked an even tone, no more red chin! When initially applied, coverage was smooth but I looked a bit greasy skinned and over applied face powder then had to use a toner sprItz to de-cake my face ! The trick is to apply at least 15-30 mins before other makeup as after that time then its like a good quality primer & foundation but without the heavy look of some foundations. Yesterday wore it alone with just tinted lip balm, no face powder, and noticed i looked naturally healthy. One thing to be aware of is that i am very pale skinned and had i not been using a light summer glow fake tan for few days beforehand (Garnier summer skin) this Fair shade would have been a touch too dark. So for winter months it would be great if Boots No 7 could do a Very Fair colour. As i'd love to use year round. 4 stars not 5 due to this lack of a paler colour.

I found this product to be very oily and sticky and is not suitable for acne prone skin. The colour is quite good for fair skin, but it leaves the skin very shiny. I bought this product based on the high level of UVA and UVB protection, but unfortunately it is not suitable for oily or combination skin type.

Be warned if you have actual fair skin as this shade is not fair, if you put on the correct amount to get spf50 protection then be prepared to look very orange. In my opinion this would need to be 2 shades lighter to be called fair. Shame as the consistency is nice and the ingredients seem great (apart from the fragrance!) I’ll be passing this on to relative who has darker skin than me. Please No.7 improve the shades at both ends of the spectrum for this product.

I’ve been using this for a couple of weeks now and ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! I am a female engineer spending a lot of time outside, I don’t like to wear makeup to work because it clogs my skin. I also want to protect my skin from the sun. This product has the golden trio for me - 5* sun protection, a good colour for covering blemishes and redness along with anti-aging moisturiser - perfection! I get out the shower and pop this straight on my face after eye cream - one step and it gives me a dewy, healthy glow that has received compliments. I wouldn’t wear this with another moisturiser underneath though. I am fair skinned usually 2nd from fairest foundation colour, 4*s given because I think no 7 should be more inclusive for this range for example for ma girls that are super fair or darker than the two shades that are on offer, surely there are other ladies out there who would like the 3 benefits I described in this product and to match their own skin tones. If no 7 could make this happen and please never discontinue this product, you have a lifelong buyer right here!

This is a great product that goes on nicely, evens skin tone and obviously gives sun protection! It's a glowy finish but if that's not your thing it's nothing powder can't fix. However my major hang-up is the colour : this is literally orange on my skin. I am fairly pale but by no means unusually so, I never normaly have an issue finding foundation etc., but this is 'just back from a month in spain' tan. PLEASE No7 make a very fair shade! Also a better range of shades in general as there is no options for darker skin either.

Finally someone got it right, all the things we want in one, make up, wrinkle prevention and sun block. The colour is nice and natural, it is a bit thick so a little goes a long way, better for dry skin as it is quite moisturising. Went all summer without foundation, and it lasted well ( up to 26c as I was in Cornwall)

I was looking for the Soltan SPF 50 BB cream but I guess they no longer make it. I bought this instead and surprise surprise it is almost the same. Leaves a dewy finish and a healthy glow, minimises pores, wrinkles. Better suited for normal to dry skin. It is double the price of the Soltan product so that is annoying. However, the shade suits me well. For reference I am shade Cool vanilla in the No 7 foundation range. So not exactly suitable for extremely fair skin unless you have a little tan on. The quality is amazing, applied easily, no streaks and no creasing. It’s better than some foundations I used. You can apply cream blusher and highlight after a few minutes so that the product sinks into the skin first.

Whether you like this will depend on a couple of things - if the colour suits you (forget it if you're very pale), and your expectations. You are more likely to enjoy it if you view it as a proper BB cream for everyday wear as I do (a tinted moisturiser which happens to provide cracking sun protection & anti aging benefits into the bargain) rather than a sun cream to wear during your beach/pool holiday. I wear an spf50 every day of the year due to pigmentation issues so this is ideal for me - I have normal/combination skin so can apply this straight on top of my serum (or bare skin on hot days), it gives decent coverage evening out skin tone & blurring imperfections whilst still letting my skin show through, and it has broad spectrum spf 50 without any ashy/ghostly whiteness so this saves me a lot of time & steps in the morning (no need for separate moisturiser, sun screen or foundation). Colour wise I would definitely suggest trying it on your face & letting it sit a while before buying because I would never have thought the light version would be right for me - it looks quite pale straight out of the tube & on the back of my hand, but after a few minutes on my skin it becomes deeper, then stays that way. I also bought a tube of the untinted spf50 whilst it was on offer to mix with during the cooler months when even the fair shade would be too dark. Like any tinted make up product, watch out for it getting on your clothes or sunhat because it will leave brown marks. If you are going on a city break somewhere sunny and want to look extra polished whilst you're sightseeing this could be a good option as it will cut down on how many skincare & make up products you need to bring along in your luggage, but for a beach or pool type holiday definitely go for the untinted, non BB version instead.
