Always bought these No7 varnishes with the £5 voucher. Top marks for pigmentation, but unfortunately they generally don't stay chip-free for long enough to enjoy the beautiful colours! I have found it seems very dependent on which colours you buy as to how long they take to chip: Betty Blues, Salsa and Totally Teal are major offenders, however Temptress, Vivid Violet and So Simple always seem to stay put... Very bizarre! Would never pay full price for this.

I absoluetly ADORE these Nail Colours, i own 11 all together (all brought with vouchers). I currently have the shades: 48 Berrylicous, 01 Poolside Blue, 68 Vivid Violet, 210 Crave Me, 140 Snowflake, 320 Minty Fresh, 50 Lucky Lilac, 160 Pinky Pure, 240 Cheeky Chops, 170 So Simple, 250 Me Me Me!. They all have rich pigmentation, a large but not to large brush and each bottle last about a 100 applications i find!, sheer colours eg: 170, 140, 50 and 160 all need two coats. I find the varnish lasts me 12 days with a top and base coat, however i dont paint my natural nail i paint the "200 clear boots own nails" and this should be taken into account when buying, i find they only last 4 days top on natural nails with minor chipping. Overall i give this product a 4/5 rating.

I bought the Stay Perfect Nail Colour in 'So simple 170' and it was described on the bottle as 'pigment rich'. Well nil points to No 7 for this product - it doesn't 'Stay' it certainly isn't 'Perfect' and it isn't what I'd call 'pigment rich' either. It's a very natural shade so I didn't expect it to be a strong colour, but I was dismayed by the poor quality in what is not a cheap range. However hard I tried to apply it carefully, it went on streaky, and a second coat didn't solve the problem. In addition to that, it chipped in no time, it seemed really brittle and bad quality. I didnt pay the full amount out of my own pocket because I had a voucher, but to me it was cash wasted and a bad advert for No 7. Can't be bothered to take it back either, that would be yet another chore and a waste of time! Maybe it is better in other colours but this one is rubbish!

I'm really impressed with the new formulation and brush - makes it much easier to apply a smooth layer of polish. Two layers of polish (no base coat or top coat) gave me a good even colour that has lasted three days with minimal chipping - which considering I've been to a wedding, cleaned the house, looked after my two small children and constantly washed my hands - is very impresseive! WIll be buying more :o)

boots, what have you done? the colours in the bottles look fantastic but thats where it ends. I opened the first bottle & thought the brush was broken as it wobbled about, I've just thrown out all my polishes that were thick & gloopy why would I want to buy new ones like that? the rounded brush & thick formula means its a nightmare to get a neat finish at your cuticles & if your toenails have a square nailbed don't even consider this. Disappointed doesn't come close.

it was quite thin and they are quite watery but lovely colours and with 2 or 3 coats look really nice in the end

What on earth have No7 done to their nail varnish. I used to be a great fan, however I recently bought 3 new colours for summer and it seems they have changed the formula. The varnish is thin, it goes on streaky and requires about three coats to bring out the colour. I wont be using them again and I wont be buying any more. This is so disappointing as this used to be my favourite brand.

The new brush is horrible and the basic colours are not easy to apply as they dry as yoiu apply them, so you have to be extremely quick to get your nail painted. If you manage to overcoat whilst brushing on, it will lift off! The Silver, however, is perfect! The black needs 4 coats to make it look black. I own over 30 No 7 nail polishes and love them, very disappointed in the new formulation. Bought two for my friend for her birthday and she hated them also!

These are normally £7. But when I bought some other makeup I got a £5 off No7 makeup voucher, so it only cost me £2!! It goes on really well and doesn't overflow on to your finger; the brush is a really nice shape. The colour lasts ages- even when you go swimming! Would definitely recommend buying this 100% it's fabulous!
