I've been using this mascara for a year or two now and I think it's the best mascara I've ever tried. I recently have been using another brand as it came in a gift set and it reminded me how good this one is. It's different as it "sets" onto your eyelashes and thus means it doesn't smudge or come off in the swimming pool. As other reviewers have said this means you have to apply once well for the day rather than thinking you'll go over it later on with another application. Also until you're used to it taking it off is a bit strange as it does initially look like eyelashes have come off....but it isn't, instead, it's just strands of the mascara set like little bits of rubber in the shape of an eyelash (this makes it sound worse than it is!). I just wash my face in warm water and face wash and the mascara comes off easily.

Product looks fine on. The problem occured when I came to take it off this evening. It didn't look any different after a few swipes with a baby wipe. After using a liberal amount of eye make-up remover, the product did start to come off, but looking at the wipe I realised it was taking MANY of my eyelashes with it. I am distraught, as I feel like a noticable amount of my lashes have come out. Having seen this mentioned before in a few reviews below, I am disgusted that this product is even on shelves.

This does not do anything for my eyelashes, in fact some came out when i was taking it off. Clumpy and not the usual no 7 standard. I will be returning it.

I have been using this product for a few years and I am hoping that it never gets discontinued. I have an eye condition and have to apply 6 to 8 eye drops a day in both my eyes, and will always have to. This product copes perfectly with the eye drops. It never smudges, flakes and comes off easily with a cotton wool pad soaked in warm/ hot water after 30 seconds. Wiped downwards. All the mascara that was coating the lashes comes off onto the pad. For me this product is perfect, I cant believe there are any bad reviews for this mascara. When I am in the UK I stock up!

Have deliberately waited a bit before reviewing. Bought this over a month ago now, despite the mixed reviews, as I was tempted by the 'stay perfect' promise! So...you CAN only put one coat on....but once you learn this and you do a 'thorough' and careful one coat, it's fine. It truly does stay perfect all day. And I've had no problems with removal, a cotton pad soaked in warm (almost hot) water works just fine...if the water's too cool it won't come off easily. I'll be honest, when I first bought and tried this, I thought I'd made a huge mistake...but now I love it!

I ll keep it short and sweet , this is not for me i already have quite long eyelashes and this product just clumped them together, did not like the look it gave, bit disappointing from No 7 usually there products are great

I love this. I've been using it for a while and life proof is what it is! I live in Australia now and I always get family and friends to bring a few over for me it's that good! I've cried in this mascara and it still stayed in perfect condition. No stains under the eyes after a few hours. I'll never use another one.

Totally agree that this mascara stays on without smudging or flaking for a long time but when it comes to taking it off...it does not come off. Warm water alone doesn't work. Waterproof eye make up remover doesn't work. Not without rubbing and pulling half of your eyelashes off with it anyway. Shame because I would have given this 5/5 if wasn't for that. Won't be buying again for the removal reason.

This mascara is quite literally perfect. I have wasted so much money on mascaras which smudge in the course of the day. This one stays put no matter what. I can't recommend it highly enough.

This mascara just didn't work for me! It clogged my lashes and I couldn't separate the lashes enough to get 2 coats on. And trying to take it off was a nightmare. I used water as instructed and that didn't really work: it took an age for the product to dissolve and when it did it broke down into fibres and ended up flaked all over- and in - my eyes. 2 different types of premium eye makeup removers couldn't even get the mascara off. It really didn't work for me. I've been using No.7 mascaras for years with no issues and this just seems to be the one that I can't get on with at all.
