I'm trying out the No7 range as I've heard lots of good things and I was in need of a new face wash. I just couldn't get on with this at all. Was thick, took forever to get that "melty" feel and did it wash all of my make up off? Nope it did not. I persevered to the end in the hope it would grow on me, but honestly, save your money - I ended up having to re-wash my face just to remove traces of make up. I

Bought this on a whim as I'd run out of my normal Clarins foaming cleanser, but I am very glad that I did. I use the smallest amount, warm it up between my hands (by circling my palms together) and then apply it evenly all over my face (without adding water!). I then continue to massage it in for a minute, or two, before splashing my face with lukewarm water. I then add a toner to remove what little's left and hey-presto! It, surprisingly, even removed my waterproof mascara! It's made my skin softer, it's not drying me out (my skin is 50 years old, so this is quite important) and it's going to last me for ages! I'm converted and will not be purchasing my old cleanser again.

I have now used two tubes of this cleanser and find it thoroughly cleans my face. I wash it off with a warm, wet muslin cloth after rubbing it I thoroughly. I do need moisturiser afterwards but I have dry skin.

This has been my go-to cleanser for at least 5 years, in both old and new versions. It's perfect for a hot cloth cleanse and glides over the skin perfectly if you want to do a massage step during the cleanse, without dripping everywhere. If you don't like oil, it might not be for you, although it isn't a heavy oil once it's melted. It comes away with a damp flannel. I like the fact that it doesn't strip the skin. It doesn't have a 'squeaky clean feel' which is good because it doesn't leave my skin feeling dry or tight afterwards. Although it leaves a slight film on the skin, I quite like it because it feels soft and all of my skincare products absorb afterwards.

This feels like rubbing petroleum jelly over my face. It certainly doesn't feel like it's melting into an oil when rubbed in, and when it washes off my skin feels dry not nourished. A waste of money. I've used no7 my life. This may make me change.

I have used the original version for a long time now, it was so effective at removing make up and left my skin feeling lovely. This new version is just ok, not a patch on the old one. What a shame you had to change it.

I'm really not keen on this cleanser at all. I'm not sure of the texture, i don't think it feels like a gel nor an oil when adding water. Seems to dry my skin out too, i always have to reach for the moisturiser straight away, so there's no time for the skin to breath in between. Also it stings the eyes, so if like me you were hoping to use it to remove eye makeup just be aware you will end up with sore eyes. I won't be repurchasing this again.

This feels so nice, soft and silky on the skin.- very indulgent; personally I am delighted with the product.

I've been on the hunt for a luxurious feel second cleanser for a while and now I've found it! Used a cleansing oil to remove SPF and used this as a second cleanse and was amazed. Most cleansers make my face feel tight afterwards but this is lovely and leaves skin silky soft. Not sure this would work as a first cleanse. Might be worth sticking with the balm (which is also lovely) but for a second cleanse it's perfect. Thanks No 7!

I HAVE ALWAYS USED No 7 CLEANSERS BUT THIS NEW ONE I CANNOT GET TO GRIPS WITH. I FIND THE GEL STICKY AND AM GLAD WHEN MY TONER GETS RID OF IT. I WILL BE USING A DIFFERENT BRAND WHEN THIS RUNS OUT
