I brought this product because I needed a replacement for my previous one that had been discontinued. I agree with the comments about how it is hard to apply and scratchy, however, if you sharpen it once it works like a dream for the rest of its life. I don't know if its how it is made and has some sort of film over it but once you sharpen it once it becomes very soft and the application is really smooth and the effect is bold. I hope that all who have had trouble with this see this and they can finally use the eyeliner that they have paid good money for :)

I have been a fan of Boots for years but not so recently! A lot of products are not of the same quality as in the past!

The colour and formula for me is far superior to the old brown, which was easy to apply, but which I found too light/reddish a brown for my grey eyes and which did not define them enough. The M/C assistant at No 7 told me this was the exact same formula & colour, which it is not. I think the staff should know what they are selling when new versions are introduced. It is a darker and more flattering brown and I find just as easy to apply as before and longer wearing. I would have given 5 stars, but the smudger broke off on my last two so I am returning the last one to be changed. I used to like the old grey,which has now gone, but that was a different formula to the old brown any way and was almost impossible to apply. I am in the minority, it seems, it preferring this darker brown.

I've been buying this eyeliner for over 10 years and they've suddenly changed it for the worse. It's softer than it was (it was already very soft) and this means you have to sharpen it after every two applications. it used to last ages- I've only had this for 2 weeks and it's gone down so much I can see it won't last long. Maybe the team at No 7 think that that means they'll sell twice as many, but they've misjudged this-I won't be buying this again- I'll just get my eyeliner from Benefit instead.

While I love most everything about the Stay Perfect Eye Pencil what I don't like is how difficult it is to sharpen and get a good usable point on it again.  As others have said it becomes useless after the original point is gone.  If they improve that somehow I would buy the product again but until I have to pass.  

This eye liner goes on so smoothly. I love the color. However it does not stay. I find after a couple of hours it is transferring to my brow bone area. I even tried using a light powder to set it. I am disappointed.

This is my favorite waterproof eyeliner to date. But after only a couple of uses I tried to advance the pencil and couldn't. Not sure if it's a malfunction or if I'm supposed to use an old fashioned sharpener? Either way I'm stumped because I really liked it?!

Loved the look of this eye pencil. The only reason I gave it four stars is because I had to ask to find out how to advance the pencil. You have to use a sharpener. This is the best eyeliner I have used because it stays put and looks good at the end of the day. I almost hate to take it off.

Addicted to ALL No. 7 products.  I used to buy ala carte products according to my needs, mix and matching different cosmetic companies.  However, I find No.7 carries the best quality products from moisturizers, cleansers, foundations, eye and  lip products across the board.  This sure makes my purchasing decisions easier.

simply impossible to sharpen this pencil so is of no use quite quickly- not sure why this is so as i see others have this problem.
