Excellent on brushes, bad for skin!

I used this on my real techniques stippling brush and found it cleaned really well, especially as I use Estée Lauder double wear which is impossible to remove from anything! However, within a couple of days of using it I noticed my skin felt tight, dry, sensitive and bumpy (I don't usually have sensitive skin). It can only be the brush cleanser as I haven't changed anything else. Will be reverting back to the Estée Lauder brush cleaner which is slightly more expensive but did the job and I had no issues with my skin or brushes.

Destroyed brush

I used this cleanser on my (extremely expensive) real technique bold metal brushes. After a while I noticed the foundation brush was 'malting' and the bristles were falling out. I tried to fix it with super glue but it didn't work. I thought it was the brush but today I was cleaning my brushes and realized the bristles on my contour brush had come uneven and had started slipping out. I stopped using the cleanser and tried soap and water; the problem stopped. To fix the contour brush, I had to trim the bristles so it was flat. I think the cleanser chemically reacted with the glue on the brushes and it started weakening the strength. I understand it may just be the type of glue used on the brush, but none the less, it annoyed me as the brushes were so expensive. (Not going to lie, but the real techniques bold metal foundation brush was not the best as it made my foundation streaky).

Not good for sensitive skin

I used this on my brush and noticed that when i used the brush the next day it really irritated my skin, where I had no problem with the brush or the product before. It also leaves a sticky film on the brushes and doesn't actually clean them very well. Plus it has a horrible alcohol, chemical smell. Would give this one a miss and maybe spend a little more on something better.

Brilliant

Best brush cleaner I've ever used. All my foundations are long wearing and wreck my brushes after one use, but a few squirts of this and problem solved. Also good to cleanse brushes to get the worst out of them before washing them properly; saves time and effort. Brilliant to stock up on when 3 for 2 offer is on.

Very good

By far the best brush cleaner I've used, i tired the real techniques after using all of this and this cleaner is by far the best.

Not good

I do not recommend this product. You need a lot of product to clean one brush. I'm a makeup artist, I had it for 4 days and it's already half empty.

Fab fab fab

I love this product!!! I use a couple of times a week in between a monthly deep clean, at ÂŁ8 it makes it the cheapest on the market and you can also use your ÂŁ3 cosmetics voucher off this product so all in all a bargain product that really does work. As with all no7 products aswell it is hypoallergenic so doesnt irritate my skin afterwards.

No 7 Brush Cleaner

This cleaner is amazing for removing all the make-up from brushes. Much better than water.

Really disappointed.

I used to use the MAC brush cleaner but wanted to opt for something cheaper with more longevity so I thought I'd try this. Unfortunately after about a week of using it to spot clean my eye brushes, it began to irritate my eyes. My eyelids had swollen up, gone bright red and rashy. They were constantly stinging and burning, it hurt to blink. Not impressed at all especially as it's supposed to 'hypo-allergenic'. Not only that but it dried my brushes out. Hopefully a deep cleanse will restore their softness. I really wanted to love this product and maybe it would be great for someone who doesn't have sensitive skin, but after my experience I can safely say I won't ever be repurchasing this product.
