Bought this before Christmas as part of a gift pack. It's ok but not sure it actually makes an improvement to the skin. The cream texture feels like emulsion paint. It doesn't quite glide over the skin but almost sinks in immediately-quite strange. Just tried to see how much a replacement would cost but the packaging has now changed and recent reviews are talking about the cream giving a "glow" or "glitter" effect to the skin. This sounds completely different to the reviews given at my time of purchase so much so that I honestly don't know which "version" Boots are now selling.

I always use this product and so does my mother. It is fantasic for your skin.

I have not used this cream for long. It is pleasant and easy to apply it and has a nice feel, although it does take a while to absorb and in the meantime remains shiny and slightly greasy on the skin. My biggest objection is that it comes without any type of seal. Just the screw-on plastic top that anybody can open and close. I am astonished there are no legal requirements demanding this elementary hygienic measure! But that is what Boots have told me on the phone. I do not think I'll buy it again but for someone looking for a reasonably good moisturizer at a reasonable price it might be a good option..

I won’t buy this again - it’s FILLED with glitter. I looked like an 80s disco queen. I know it’s supposed to ‘illuminate’ but really you can see the glitter sparkling under a good light in a magnifying mirror. Not happy about this at all, hoping for a refund. Expect better of No 7, very very disappointed. Outrageous!

This product has made no difference to my skin. It does illuminate my skin as it makes my acne scars look darker than they actually are. It has nothing to do with the sun I use an additional sunblock. I have used my sunblock without the day cream and my marks do not appear too bad but they look worst using this cream.

when I use number 7 makeup over this day cream it rolls up in little balls all over my face and neck

i've used this product - and its predecessors - for years now, have been very happy with it and am often complimented on my skin (I'm 54). However, the new packaging heralded a change in its formula and not for the better. It's MUCH too light for an older skin now, no matter how much I use. Will be taking this one back tomorrow for a refund and won't be buying it again. VERY disappointed.

I haven't had any issues with using this cream on my skin but I do not like the appearance due to the sparkly bits in it. This is not mentioned on the packaging and as a professional I do not want sparkles on my face for day to day use. It is not sold as an evening/party product.
