I used this cleanser on my (extremely expensive) real technique bold metal brushes. After a while I noticed the foundation brush was 'malting' and the bristles were falling out. I tried to fix it with super glue but it didn't work. I thought it was the brush but today I was cleaning my brushes and realized the bristles on my contour brush had come uneven and had started slipping out. I stopped using the cleanser and tried soap and water; the problem stopped. To fix the contour brush, I had to trim the bristles so it was flat. I think the cleanser chemically reacted with the glue on the brushes and it started weakening the strength. I understand it may just be the type of glue used on the brush, but none the less, it annoyed me as the brushes were so expensive. (Not going to lie, but the real techniques bold metal foundation brush was not the best as it made my foundation streaky).

By far the best brush cleaner I've used, i tired the real techniques after using all of this and this cleaner is by far the best.

I do not recommend this product. You need a lot of product to clean one brush. I'm a makeup artist, I had it for 4 days and it's already half empty.

The bottle was hard to open it took a while before the product pumped onto a tissue and when it did it squirted all over the place....used it on my brushes and cleaned the majority of product off but left some on which only a proper deep clean would take away. Great quick fix to cleaning brushes even though you may need to squirt s few pumps to get a better clean

I've found myself repurchasing this cleaner a few times now. It's just so handy - I pump it onto a large tissue to clean all my everyday brushes, and it works just as well with powder, liquid & lipstick. As it says on the bottle, it doesn't get it all out, and you will still need to deep clean your brushes with soap and water, but this is great at maintaining their everyday performance. My only qualm is the price - I think it's really expensive for the alcohol-based cleaner it is, and so try to get it on offer when I can.

I used this on my brush and noticed that when i used the brush the next day it really irritated my skin, where I had no problem with the brush or the product before. It also leaves a sticky film on the brushes and doesn't actually clean them very well. Plus it has a horrible alcohol, chemical smell. Would give this one a miss and maybe spend a little more on something better.

I don't have sensitive skin at all but this product made my eyelids dry after cleaning my eye brushes with it. At first I thought it was because I was using the brushes too soon after cleaning them but even after leaving them to dry for a day or two, I still ended up with red dry patches on my eyelids where I had been using the brushes to apply my eyeshadow. After reading the other reviews I thought I'd give it a go but unfortunately it was a complete waste of money. Any chance of a refund, Boots?!

I bought this on line, as the title says 'Make Up Brush Cleaser, thoroughly cleanses and removes make up residue build up. However, on the back it says.....this product is a quick fix if you don't have time to soak your brushes.........Brushes should be deep cleaned every month. So £8 to thoroughly clean brushes, that apparently are not thoroughly clean. Someone is having us on ladies, a baby wipe achieves that. I will not be buying again, and far more careful what I order on line.

Great product and has been the best brush cleaner I have bought, however I do have to use a lot each time I clean my brushes to get the best result.
