I'm not a big fan of foundation brushes and tend to use my hands, not keen on the "brushed on" look. With this brush I was pleasantly surprised! Even, smooth application with really soft brushes! Really pleased with it and think I have been converted to using a brush to apply my foundation from now on.

The bristles of this brush are soft and ensure that foundation goes on smoothly. I haven't always been a fan of applying foundation with a brush but this one seemed to help it go on much better - easier to blend and get and even coverage. I think the key is to apply a little at a time. The brush head is smaller so that you can use it to cover right up to your eyes, hairline and nose. The packaging is clean and simple as you'd expect from No 7 and you can reuse the little pouch it comes in as it has a little zip if you wanted to. I would recommend this brush - especially if you are thinking of using a foundation brush for the first time!

Although I tend to prefer stippling (the flat headed brush) for applying foundation I can definitely see myself using this on more often too, it does give a good even coverage which is what it supposed to do, so good product. But over all I think i prefer the real techniques brushes.

Brushes tend to not shed too much with me, so I put shedding down to how people treat their poor brushes. This brush does need some getting use to, since it's not the average foundation brush - that's good thing. It is very dense, unlike most foundation brushes that flap around and don't really do much. Because it is so dense, and is made of synthetic hairs, not too much product is absorbed (good thing again!) so I tend to dot the product onto my face with the brush first, and then blend in with the other side of the brush, otherwise I end up applying too much. I also like that it's pretty small - you can fit into small places, like around the nostril and generally just have more control. I find foundation looks better when short strokes are used with this brush, but that really goes for any brush, since using long strokes creates brush marks.

I've had my brush for what must be just under a year now, and at first i really liked it, as i used to use my fingers, but found that the finish with this brush was better and using a brush made the application quicker. However, almost one year old i am very disappointed as all the bristels are falling out, even though i care for it well, by washing it gently etc. So now i feel that this product is very expensive for the quality it is.

I bought this as my first foundation brush, after hearing rave reviews about this specific brush. I was a bit skeptical at first, thinking "if I can get the job done using my fingers, why bother with a brush?". I was very surprised about how soft the bristles are and how easy to use, it took a bit of time to get used to but after a while, you'll work out your own way in using this brush. The brush made my application of my foundation better, less streaks and it helped me to work out how much foundation I needed on certain areas of my face, something which I couldn't quite do simply using my fingers! My advice in keeping this brush usable year after year is to wash it with a bit of shampoo every week. I've been doing this and it's such a joy to use when it's clean!

I am on my second brush and like other reviews (that I wish I’d read first) the bristles are all coming out. This one is only 2 months old. I won’t be buying again.

This is the second time I have purchased this brush; the first one I bought seemed great at first and then the bristles started to drop out like pines needles from a christmas tree. Even cleaning the brush did not help. Alas I purchased a second brush in the hope things would improve. Again it started out lovely and after about a week the bristles did exactly the same thing. I am really disappointed in this product from No7 and will not be buy a third brush as they are a waste of money.
