No7 brushes, last ages!
I have bought highstreet brushes before but these ones, that I've now owned for 6 years, have really performed well and are in really good shape - i wash them all once a week. The only others that are in the same price bracket are the real techniques but the shapes of their brushes aren't traditional like no7. Would not hesitate to recommend, plus I used a voucher to buy mine so they worked out very reasonable.

TOO SMALL
Feels cheap and brush is VERY small. This was to replace my lost BareMinerals covered lip brush. This brush doesn't come close. It's going back.

Easy control
Got this out of desperation at the uselessness of my old basic brush was and it was well worth the extra money. The overall length and the narrow section just before the bristles makes it really easy to control - makes applying strong colours where there's no margin for error so much easier. I also like that it's one-piece retractable - no lid and therefore easier to clean and dry than two-piece brushes.

just ok
was so excited to get this brush as I had lost mine. I found it firmer than my previous one so lipstick did not go on as easy

Not good
Unfortunately I think this is a case of 'you get what you pay for'. I have struggled to use this brush on two occasions. To get any sort of lipstick onto the bristles, you have to press quite firmly into your lipstick leaving drag marks and indentations on it, making it look ugly. Then when it comes to application, it is awful, the colour doesn't transfer to your lips and you have go back to apply more to the brush. You unfortunately end up wasting a lot of lipstick. It is far more economical to apply your lipstick straight to your lips. A waste of money in my opinion.
