Great lipstick

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

Great lipstick and one I go back to time & again but please please can you start putting the colour numbers on the website as well as the colour name. Mine is a bit battered and I can make out the number but not the colour name and make up is too expensive to waste by buying the wrong colour

Colour Chart Mayhem

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

Ordered this lippy online expecting a natural pink shade, according to the chart - but this is a coral/orange tone. Completely different to the expected shade. PLEASE show larger colour samples AND give the lipsticks names which describe an actual colour to avoid disappointment. Will be returning this to the store. Pink Mist = Not pink!

My favourite ever lipstick!

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I was on the look out for a nice nude lipstick and after buying a fair few that turned out to be no good - too pale, too pinky, too brown, I decided to go and see the consultant on the No7 counter at my local store, and I am so pleased I did, and wished I had done so ages ago, as it would have saved me a fortune! I was recommended to try this lipstick, in "Chic" (which looks nothing like the swatch on here by the way, it is much more neutral and not pink) it goes on beautifully smooth, with no dragging, does not dry the lips out whatsoever and has a nice natural sheen. And even though it is not marketed as such, it is actually a really long lasting lipstick too. I use it with the No 7 Lip Pencil in Nude but have also used it on it's own with equally impressive results. This lipstick is now a staple in my make up bag and after years of searching, it better not get discontinued now I have found it!!

My lips but better

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I own four of these lipsticks (Honey Bloom, Soft Tulip, Soft Ruby, Soft Paprika), and people are consistently astonished that they're not very high end. I was helped to select them using the match made system. They're easy to wear, comfortable, and lightly hydrating. They don't do well with eating or drinking, but that's to be expected given the formula. Honey Bloom in particular is my go to, my lips but better nude (I wear Calico foundation), and it'll probably be the first item of makeup that I ever run out of rather than let expire. No discernable smell or taste, and don't irritate my very sensitive skin. The colour range runs fairly conservative/ safe, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Highland Mist

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

I needed a little 'pick me up' so wandered into Boots and had a look at the shades of these lipsticks as wanted something moisturising and not too glossy. As they were on a special offer (buy one get one half price) I decided to select a fairly ' safe' shade (Highland Mist) and then something a bit bolder ( Deep Plum) Unfortunately the Deep Plum was too 'vampy' for me (will pass on to my darker skinned sister) but the Highland Mist was perfect. I have very pale skin and the Highland Mist is a very subtle pinky brown which makes me feel ' polished' without being overly made up. If you find a shade to suit you then you will enjoy using this product but have a look in store at the colours as not all of them look true online.

Plum Beautiful replaces Stay Perfect “Grace”

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I had worn Grace for years. It’s a lovely deep red/plum colour and really suits my olive complexion. My mother also wore the same colour. I was absolutely distraught when it was discontinued and couldn’t find another lipstick to match. It was such a classic colour. Thankfully I was stocked up so I’m just running out nearly 18 months after it was discontinued. Plum Beautiful is the same colour and my lipstick crisis is resolved!

Just as good as the more up market brands

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I got the "Pink Hint" shade and I absolutely loved it. The colour was beautiful. I do usually tend to go for the more expensive make up brands when it comes to lipstick, but this was amazing quality and great value! I'd definitely consider getting other shades and recommend to others

Love it

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I love this lipstick, I have the colour 'Romantic Berry' and it is the most natural pink colour. Doesn't have a glossy finish, which the word 'drench' may suggest, but has a very nice shine to it. And it doesn't leave my lips dry!

Great staying power

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I have been using the moisture drench lipstick for a good 10 years. I used “perfection” which was an amazing colour but sadly got discontinued. I asked the very friendly girl at the counter if she could find it but sadly it had gone so she matched the nearest one which was “spiced latte”. I am pleased with this colour but still miss my other shade. Wonder why they try to mend something that isn’t broken?.

It's not the same shade

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

Started using Soft Cherry 690 after an in-store colour match promo suggested this shade was perfect for me. Just went to stock up and found it was a completely different colour. The consultant said that shades are sometimes 'improved'. Why do this? It's the same formulation. Sorry Boots. I'll find another 'perfect' shade, but not in one of your stores.
